So I'm guessing from your comment about the aliens' homeworld that you haven't watched Prometheus. People have mixed feelings about it, but it does give us a lot of info/backstory.

We've seen Prometheus, actually one of the first movies we watched for our channel. That wasn't the Aliens (Xenomorph) home world, tho.

We see the creation of the aliens, by the Engineers. Starting with black goo. There's not really a homeworld, imo, since the aliens were created instead of evolving. Sorry for spoilers if anyone hasn't seen it.

Based on the mural on the wall in the chamber of the goo, I don't think that was the first time Aliens were created. but rather a way for them to be recreated from the ooze.
