I prefer the theatrical cut tbh. Just finding Newt in the ruined station is much more suspenseful and the sentry guns scene doesn't really add much to the plot.

Hard disagree on that. The added backstory with Ripley's daughter makes the relationship with Newt have far more meaning and depth. Especially when Newt calls her "mommy".

Yeah, the theatrical cut is a far better film pacing wise. The extra stuff is interesting, but completely extraneous to the plot. Often, I don't think people appreciate a tight story and not having to explain every little thing to the audience.
