Evening, all! There may not be a new release to discuss this month (and honestly, it felt rather weird for me to not have one to put up this week), but there a few things I thought it'd be worth posting about tonight.

First off, just to repeat the highlights for those who missed the last post, Carnal Coup is now up on Steam! The target release date is Oct 1st, and it will also be available on itch and Gamejolt. Relating to that, I've previously mentioned that I was planning to take down the WebGL versions of the game on those sites in preparation for the game's main release. However, having considered that they do not have a 'Coming Soon' system for games like Steam does, I'd rather not go without a presence there in the leadup to the release. Instead I will be keeping the pages up (with some edits) and when the new release comes, it will be on new pages specifically for the Overseer's Edition.

Secondly, I wanted to thank everyone again for continuing to support the project. This is particularly notable for me because, to be honest, I was expecting subs to drop quite a bit after the final patron release went out. Instead August was the project's best month in our entire run, much to my surprise. Thanks for sticking around and continuing to show an interest in our efforts!

And for my last point, I thought I'd discuss a bit about where those efforts will be going this month. With store approval obtained, the final task for me in preparing the Overseer's Edition will be completing the art book I mentioned in the previous post. This is largely done but still needs a bit more work, which I'm looking forward to finishing up over my extended Labor Day. I also plan to do some more game testing over the next month, and looking for any Quality of Life improvements to add, and as usual I'm always open to suggestions or bug reports. Mostly though I'm expecting to start getting more serious about planning the design for the game's sequel, and with any luck next month's State of the Game may have some more to say about that.

I'll keep you all updated if there's any developments in the game's release, otherwise thanks again for your support, and don't forget to tell your friends to swing by and add Carnal Coup to their wishlist!
