Elegy's disheveled appearance being witnessed by Starscream made his face as unseemly as it could get.

Ironically, he couldn't refute Starscream, which only fueled his frustration.

Ever since his two rebellions and subsequent demotion by Megatron, it seemed the tyrant had forgiven Starscream's shameless groveling. However, any Decepticon with a modicum of insight knew Megatron never trusted Starscream again.

Assigning Starscream the task of breeding Vehicons was purely to utilize his abilities without waste.

Moreover, Megatron and other commanders of the Skytiger Legion remained vigilant against the Vehicons bred by Starscream, using them ruthlessly as cannon fodder in battles. This strategy was silently upheld by the commanders of the Skytiger Legion.

This explained why Elegy and his team, prior to their mission, dared to disrespect Starscream, a member of the Decepticon quartet, especially since they were not on good terms.

"Shut up, Starscream!"

Elegy, in a mix of embarrassment and anger, growled at Starscream, struggling to get up from the crash site. Not known for his temper, Elegy held a status among the Decepticon elders.

Born into a noble family during the Cybertron Council of Primes era, Elegy joined the Cybertron guerilla army shortly after reaching adulthood, rising to an officer rank. Later, when Megatron seized military control with the support of Superior General Sentinel Prime, Elegy pledged allegiance to Megatron, volunteering to be transformed into a Decepticon for greater power.

It's noteworthy that the caste system in Cybertron's history was abolished only after Sentinel Prime and Megatron overthrew the Council of Primes. This system not only created a hierarchy but primarily benefited the former nobility of Cybertron.

Thus, Decepticons like Elegy, originating from noble families, naturally clashed with those from slave or common backgrounds like Starscream. Power struggles were equally brutal among Cybertronians.

Starscream's schadenfreude grew more glaring when Megatron, after Lightning's arrival, sidelined him. Starscream hadn't forgotten that he built this Decepticon base himself.

Even Megatron's flagship, the Retribution Number, had been thoroughly inspected by him in the absence of its crew, where he also planted a few tricks.

So, when Megatron tasked Lightning with handling the Decepticon traitor Frenzy, Starscream was the first to know.

When Lightning came to inquire about Frenzy's whereabouts, Starscream played his cards craftily. He deliberately withheld the suspected location of the enemy's rear base, instead giving them coordinates of Terindad Island, where his Vehicons had been annihilated.

The intention was clear.

Starscream was waiting to see these Decepticons, too focused on their ambitions, face defeat.

He had warned them earlier about Frenzy's heavy forces on Terindad Island. And then!

Well, well!

"How much fighting power can a traitor of the [Cassette Legion] possess? Starscream is just a coward, and having not been on the battlefield for a long time, probably lost even his basic judgment skills!"

These were Elegy's words at that time, spoken in mockery while volunteering for the mission to eliminate the traitor, in front of Starscream.

The scene unfolds with Starscream eagerly anticipating the drama that was about to unfold. His wait was short-lived, as within less than a day, two Elite Warriors, three senior Vehicons, and twelve ordinary Vehicons were involved. Only Elegy, severely injured, managed to escape back. Elegy, who had always aspired to be the commander of the flight team, now faced a failed mission that would provide his rivals with fresh ammunition for attack. This thought brought Starscream even more pleasure.

Starscream mockingly advised Elegy to report back quickly, insinuating that Megatron and Lightning were awaiting his victorious return. Humming a tune he had learned on Earth over the past century, Starscream nonchalantly headed towards the retribution numberSpaceship, leaving a trembling Elegy behind.

In New Iron Fortress city, at the military headquarters, Optimus Prime viewed the projection screen with grave concern. Dozens of red dots representing Decepticons were active again on Earth, except in South America. Some Decepticons were captured on camera by human nations, others were spotted by international spy satellites, and a few were witnessed by Autobots. Optimus Prime and his team had verified all the intelligence, concluding it to be true – an almost impossible scenario six months ago.

After dealing with Lord Fallen, Decepticons had disappeared from Earth for a long time, especially from the chaotic African region, which seemed almost off-limits to them due to the Autobot presence. However, recent frequent sightings of Decepticons across Earth, including some mining in remote areas, were not good signs.

Ironhide, flicking his cigar, noted that Shockwave's vanguard had likely reached the Moon. Frenzy had previously warned them about Shockwave leading a large force towards Earth, and the timing aligned with the vanguard's expected arrival. The Decepticons had lain low over the past six months mainly because their high-end warriors were nearly all defeated by the Autobots. But with the arrival of the vanguard, the rejuvenated Decepticons were bound to start making moves.

Sideswipe questioned their next course of action, offering to lead a team for a counter-offensive. Optimus Prime hesitated, looking towards Sentinel Prime, who remained calm and uninvolved in the discussion. Eventually, Optimus Prime suggested informing Frenzy about their findings, especially about the recent intense electromagnetic pulse near Terindad Island, likely indicating a battle. Considering Frenzy an ally, he proposed notifying him first.
