Wang Zilong's words had the final say. As a world-class internet giant, Panda Communications immediately set its massive business intelligence system in motion as soon as it expressed interest in a particular industry or company.

Additional technical resources were allocated to the research of the two products already released by Cybertron Technology Corporation.

Simultaneously, a professional asset appraisal and venture capital team began the preliminary valuation of Cybertron Technology Company as a basis for future offers.

The $100 million mentioned by Chen Li was simply the authorized amount he hoped to obtain. The professionals at Panda Communications started gathering information on Cybertron technology through various channels.

This included members of Cybertron Studios, the company's founders, shareholders, and managers.

In a very short span of time, they collected a continuous stream of intelligence through various channels and presented a detailed acquisition proposal to the top executives of Panda Communications.

...

Sun Cheng was evidently unaware that Cybertron Technology, the company he had recently established, had inadvertently caught the attention of a behemoth.

Even if he did know, he wouldn't be too concerned. Despite only returning to the real world half a month ago, he already held a multitude of valuable cards in his hands, thanks to the resources and technology from another world.

Sun Cheng returned to the office of President Shen Peiyuan at Nandu Industrial University after half a month. "Principal, this is a product I hastily developed. Please have a look with the professors and experts. Let me know if there are any compliance issues."

Sun Cheng took a step forward and placed a flat, elongated cardboard box on Shen Peiyuan's desk.

Although he maintained a smiling expression, a keen observer would notice a hint of playfulness in his eyes.

"This person is not to be underestimated!"

This was Sun Cheng's current opinion of Shen Peiyuan.

Recently, his new principal had given him a taste of what it meant to have a politician's mindset.

Last week, Nandu University of Technology had called Cybertron Technology, and Xu Chun had even confessed to Sun Cheng that Shen Peiyuan had intervened and facilitated contact with Nandu Supercomputing Center. They had even arranged a time for a detailed meeting between the two parties.

However, nothing happened after that!

Sun Cheng had made thorough preparations, but on the agreed day, he didn't receive a call to meet with the supercomputing center. Instead, he was informed that the meeting had been postponed, awaiting further arrangements.

Having experienced many ups and downs, Sun Cheng was initially puzzled, thinking that something had come up preventing him from meeting with the people at the Nandu Supercomputing Center.

However, upon reflection, he quickly discerned the true flavor of the situation.

Someone was meddling, and that someone could only be Shen Peiyuan!

It wasn't too difficult for him to make this deduction.

It is true that his own Cybertron technology company was recently established, but it has already gained momentum.

Sun Cheng's "pure version of XP system" has attracted some attention to Cybertron technology.

After Wang Lu received millions of advertising fees from him, they have been spending a significant amount of money recently. They hired internet trolls, contacted major platforms for advertising and recommendations, and the online reports about Cybertron Technology and Cybertron Cloud Disk have been constant.

Sun Cheng couldn't believe he hadn't heard about such a big commotion.

He even suspected that Shen Peiyuan might have heard rumors through various channels.

For instance, Cybertron Technology has submitted reports to the Ministry of Industry for five different storage products. Currently, two have been approved and received production licenses, while the remaining three are still under review.

This implies that Cybertron technology is about to take off.

Shen Peiyuan and Nangong University have not yet obtained the hard disk production technology that he promised to transfer. Seeing the rapid progress of Cybertron technology, it is highly likely that it reminded him of his existence.

So, after giving it some thought, Sun Cheng decided to visit Shen Peiyuan.

He still needed Shen Peiyuan's assistance, especially since Nangong University's association could bring him significant benefits.

Shen Peiyuan glanced briefly at the box Sun Cheng brought and then turned his attention to Sun Cheng. Despite usually being serious, his face was now filled with a smile.

"Sun Cheng, it's been a long time. Hehe, I asked Xiao Xu about your situation yesterday, and he happily informed me that your company has been thriving lately..."

Bingo!

As soon as those words were spoken, Sun Cheng's initial doubts were confirmed. The sudden cancellation of the meeting with Nandu Supercomputing Center was definitely related to Shen Peiyuan.

However, he only flickered his eyes slightly and didn't reveal anything.

Pretending as if he had no knowledge of the matter, he replied with a smile, "Thank you, Principal, for your and Director Xu's concern. The company has been established for a while. We have gone through the busiest and most chaotic period, and now we are just starting with marketing and product promotion!"

Shen Peiyuan engaged in a conversation with him, saying pleasant and encouraging words. However, Sun Cheng wasn't blind; he noticed Shen Peiyuan's gaze occasionally falling on the box he brought. After a short chat, he proactively halted the conversation and shifted the topic to the purpose of his visit.

"Principal, I came here mainly regarding the matter with Nandu Supercomputing Center."

After speaking, he looked at Shen Peiyuan but couldn't discern any change in his expression. Sun Cheng couldn't help but silently curse the old fox in his mind.

However, dealing with such individuals is simple, to say the least.

Sun Cheng picked up the box he had brought and opened it, pushing it towards Shen Peiyuan.

Inside the box, beneath the silk padding, were two identically-sized box-shaped hard disks. These were new hard disks specifically designed for the Nandu Supercomputing Center, following the solid-state hard disk standards procured for supercomputers. Each disk had a capacity of 50T.

But don't be mistaken, their memory capacity is far from small!

In the year 2013, the U.S. Department of Energy, Cray Corporation, and Intel collaborated to manufacture a supercomputer named Catalyst. It boasted a maximum performance of 1.5 quadrillion floating-point operations per second and a total memory of 281TB. Each node possessed 128GB of DRAM memory, while the 304 nodes had 800GB of solid-state drive storage capacity. Furthermore, the 12 master nodes equipped with solid-state drives only had a storage capacity of 3.2TB.

It is not an overstatement to say that once the Nandu Supercomputing Center adopts the new hard disk personally crafted by Sun Cheng, it will contribute to reducing the weight of a supercomputer by at least 11% to 14%, which is a considerable amount.
