It seemed that after Onslaught agreed to enhance Sun Cheng's mechanical body, he realized that his current situation was very dangerous.

Lazerbeak left Onslaught's base in a hurry without even finding an excuse, and Onslaught did not stop him.

The only one worried was Sun Cheng, who had been restless for the next few days and could not forget the murderous look in Lazerbeak's eyes before leaving.

Four days after the night attack on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, they were back at Onslaught's base.

Onslaught couldn't hide his smile as they arrived at his base, "Alright, all the preparations are done, we can upgrade your mechanical body now!"

Looking at the shiny platinum-like metal in front of him, Sun Cheng's eyes flickered with blue light.

This metal was called hafnium alloy, a high-quality alloy with a high melting point, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance. Sun Cheng had just stolen it from the special material laboratory of the subsidiary of the Thunder God company a short while ago.

In the days following Onslaught, Sun Cheng had gained a deeper understanding of the Decepticon's mechanical body modification and advancement.

According to Onslaught's intentional or unintentional introduction, there were many Decepticons who were experts in various enhancement and modification technologies among the higher-ranking Decepticons.

He mentioned many Decepticons that Sun Cheng had never heard of, but in the end, Sun Cheng only remembered a few of them: Shockwave, Starscream, Soundwave, and Onslaught.

Shockwave and Starscream were the two most famous scientists in the Decepticon army. The formidable Triple Changers were Shockwave's masterpiece, and Starscream had designed and added several highly efficient geothermal energy conversion devices for the Decepticon's energy supply line.

As for Soundwave and Onslaught, they were undoubtedly inferior to Shockwave and Starscream.

Although they also had their own mechanical body modification and enhancement technologies, they, like most high-ranking Decepticons, saw them only as a means to improve their own strength.

Decepticon's mechanical bodies mainly used two types of alloys, titanium alloy and hafnium alloy, the former mainly used for low-level Decepticons, while the latter was used extensively by high-ranking Decepticons.

Compared to humans who were still in the exploration stage, the mechanical beings of Cybertron had long ago mastered the technology that allowed metals to have stronger recovery properties, coupled with their inherent racial advantages, it was difficult for Decepticons and Autobots alike to be easily destroyed by humans.

Suppressing his excitement, Sun Cheng now just wanted to shout out loud.

At first, he thought that Onslaught would use the same special titanium alloy he now used to enhance his mechanical body. He did not expect that Onslaught would directly take him to the base and let Sun Cheng use his Spy Template to search and steal the necessary hafnium metal.

Onslaught was going to design a new mechanical body for him now that the preparations were done.

As Sun Cheng excitedly moved around beside him, Onslaught, who was designing the new mechanical body, became a little impatient, "Little guy, don't be too happy too soon. A powerful mechanical body also means higher energy consumption. Your Core is too weak. Although I have also studied the Core of low-level Decepticons and should be able to further enhance it, it is still unable to break through to a higher level!"

"Yes, I know! Thank you, Lord Onslaught!"

"Thank me? No need, it's just a fair exchange!" Onslaught waved his hand, although he did not say it explicitly, Sun Cheng already understood his meaning.

When Onslaught took him out to steal hafnium metal, Sun Cheng also managed to steal several rare Earth metal resources that were even scarcer. Obviously, those metals were not used to make his mechanical body but were what Onslaught needed to enhance himself.

In addition, he had already told Sun Cheng clearly that he needed his spy ability to find the All Spark.

Although he did not fully trust Onslaught, he felt that this guy was much easier to get along with than the unpredictable personalities of Starscream and Soundwave.

After another three days of waiting, Sun Cheng woke up from a brief coma and instantly felt the changes. His previous mechanical body had transformed into a humanoid form, almost boneless and thin, but now he was muscular and more precise.

His Core immediately fed him his current data as soon as Sun Cheng regained consciousness.

"Frenzy: spy robot."

"Faction: Decepticon (Cassette Legion)."

"Energy: 1199/1200."

"Height: 4.9 feet. Weight: 177.79 pounds."

"Core: lv1 enhanced Spy Template."

"Equipment: two 5.56mm caliber rapid-fire machine guns, 400 rounds of ammunition."

"Status: good!"

"Are you awake? Do you want to try your new mechanical body?" Onslaught, who was working on perfecting his two railguns on a nearby machine, turned his head slightly and glanced at Sun Cheng before turning back and saying indifferently, "Remember to go out and not damage my machine!"

"Yes, Lord Onslaught!" Sun Cheng couldn't contain his excitement as he answered and jumped off his bed. With a thought, he immediately transformed into a mechanical beast resembling a North American lynx.

Switching from humanoid form to beast form, he didn't feel any discomfort. He wanted to test his speed and quickly ran on the ground. In just a few seconds, he ran to the cave entrance and then jumped off the platform, spiraling in the air before landing firmly on the ground. He then ran excitedly.

After running for dozens of kilometers, Sun Cheng finally felt relieved and stopped on a large rock in the canyon. After calculating in his mind, his eyes lit up. "Under my current beast form, I can run at a speed of nearly 300 kilometers per hour at full speed. Although it's not as fast as Barricade, it's enough for escaping!"

He noticed that Onslaught had also provided him with two rapid-fire machine guns as weapons. He tried summoning them and felt two machine guns extend out from the outer wall of his forelimbs. Excitedly, he aimed at a distant boulder and fired a burst of shots.

"Dadadada..."

The flying bullets left pits on the boulder, but unfortunately, they were human-made bullets, which were not as durable as Spectro's rapid-fire machine guns.

Sun Cheng sighed but didn't blame Onslaught. He had only tested his speed for a while, and his Core had consumed some energy.

After calculating, Sun Cheng quickly realized what Onslaught meant. His new mechanical body was indeed powerful, retaining most of the functions of his previous mechanical body and having defense comparable to Spectro's, but the daily energy consumption was much greater.

According to his calculations, he could consume one point of energy in two days in a non-combat state. Although the total amount of energy stored in his Core had increased after the enhancement, his theoretical lifespan had been reduced from 3,750 days to 2,400 days, a decrease of more than one-third.

It was no wonder why Onslaught didn't equip him with energy-consuming rapid-fire machine guns. His Core couldn't bear that consumption.

"As expected, there are always trade-offs!" Although he was slightly disappointed, Sun Cheng quickly adjusted his mindset.

He was about to experiment with his humanoid form again when his Spy Template suddenly detected danger. Instinctively, Sun Cheng jumped behind the rock.

Before he landed, two tongues of fire landed on the large rock where he had been standing.

Sun Cheng looked up and his face changed. A steel bird with a cold metallic color was staring at him from high above. Its wings fluttered slightly, and the two machine guns under its belly immediately aimed at him and began firing wildly.

This steel bird was Lazerbeak.
