Sun Cheng was actually injured!

The tingling pain on his cheek finally made him realize it. Without minding the dirt, he instinctively rolled away from the spot and raised his weapon, shooting in the direction of the sound of a heavy object hitting the ground.

"Da da da... da da da..."

The jetted fire snakes were particularly conspicuous in the dark night, and the ejected bullet casings occasionally landed on the road, making soft, crisp sounds.

"Master..."

Revenge suddenly flew over, and with a single sentence, it stopped him from shooting. "It escaped..."

"Escaped? Is it the ghost?"

Sun Cheng was momentarily stunned but quickly realized, ceasing his shooting. Furrowing his brow, he asked.

"Yes!"

Revenge replied coldly. Upon careful listening, there was a hint of doubt in its voice. "My blow dart definitely hit it!"

Sun Cheng quickly ran towards the direction where the ghost hunter had fallen. Upon reaching the spot, he saw a considerable amount of grass-green blood splattered on the ground, emitting a faint fluorescence in the dark night.

After observing the blood on the ground, Sun Cheng looked into the nearby woods and once again spotted some bloodstains.

He hesitated for a moment but ultimately dismissed the thought of pursuing it. Clearly, he understood that engaging in a chase with these natural hunters in the jungle at night was a risk not worth taking.

"Let it go, let's head to the spaceship first!"

This ghost must be injured now, but it was unclear whether it was wounded by the tyrannosaurus rex or by the blow dart from Revenge.

Regardless, one thing was certain—it was not in a good state right now.

Suddenly, the flapping sound of wings reached his ears. Sun Cheng turned his head and saw Safeguard flying over, with a mechanical arm extended, holding a disc with six blades fully deployed—a Frisbee, the standard cold weapon used by the hunters!

"So, it's a Frisbee..."

He reached out to wipe the wound on his cheek and felt a wave of lingering fear. These ghosts were incredibly tough opponents. If it weren't for Revenge's alertness in noticing the attempted attack and shooting the blow dart, he might have perished here.

"Swish..."

Deep within the forest, an angry roar echoed once again. Sun Cheng quickly stood up, took the Frisbee from Safeguard and stuffed it into the spherical space, then ran towards the road. "Let's go, let's get out of here quickly..."

The Tyrannosaurus rex was approaching, and it was not hard to guess from its furious roar. The ghost had likely encountered this Tyrannosaurus rex before and had probably even injured it, otherwise, it wouldn't be so enraged.

An enraged wild beast was undoubtedly terrifying, especially when it was a prehistoric behemoth. Sun Cheng didn't want to become its target, so he started running and continued towards the spaceship, which wasn't far away.

Area E wasn't very large, and most of it was encompassed by a mountainous forest, with a canyon cutting through it. The terrain was indeed complex!

Sun Cheng ran swiftly, and after a few minutes, he could no longer hear the sound of the Tyrannosaurus rex behind him. But when he could clearly see a damaged off-road vehicle ahead on the road, Safeguard's notification sound rang out, "Master, we have arrived. The spaceship is down in the canyon below..."

"Trouble!"

Sun Cheng halted his steps and looked around. This place was situated above a canyon, with tall electric fences erected on both sides of the road. Even though the electricity was on, it didn't feel the least bit safe. The electric fence on the right side, which led to the cage where the Tyrannosaurus rex was held, had been violently torn down. The electric fence on the left side, closer to the edge of the canyon, wasn't in much better shape either—it had a massive gap as well.

With a heavy heart, he first approached the damaged off-road vehicle and inspected it. He didn't find any injured individuals, corpses, or much blood inside the vehicle.

However, the ground nearby was in disarray. It was evident that danger had passed through here not long ago. Observing the muddy footprints on the road, it was clear that this danger was the Tyrannosaurus rex that still roamed around in Area E.

Lowering his head to examine closely, apart from the muddy footprints left by the Tyrannosaurus rex, there were also several sets of tire tracks and large pools of blood on the road.

Sun Cheng followed the trail of blood to the side of the road and stopped. Only then did he notice the remnants of a partially destroyed building in front of him. Judging from the few toilets that remained intact, it was not difficult to deduce that it was a roadside restroom built on the island.

"Somebody must have sought refuge in the restroom, but they were still taken by it's attack!"

After searching the area and not finding any bodies, Sun Cheng immediately realized that this unlucky person had likely been devoured by the Tyrannosaurus rex, prompting him to let out a sigh for them.

Turning back and looking again, he took a few steps and immediately discovered several torn alloy panels, which appeared to be from a Humvee as well.

Searching carefully, Sun Cheng found another long mark on the ground made by scraped paint not far away. Following the track, he reached the edge of the road. Peering down into the canyon below through the gap in the high-voltage electric fence, he could only see a foggy mist filling the canyon.

He quickly took out a glowstick he had found in the security room, twisted it to activate the light, and tossed it down.

"Swoosh..."

The glow stick traced a vertical path in the air and descended. However, it was quickly deflected and flew away into the distance after hitting something, eventually disappearing into the depths of the mist.

Although the duration was short, Sun Cheng was able to catch a glimpse of something with the aid of the glow stick.

"This canyon isn't very deep, probably around twenty to thirty meters, but it's unclear what's below..."

Using the glow stick, Sun Cheng faintly discerned some irregular and intersecting objects below, but he couldn't make out the details.

After hesitating for a moment, he immediately commanded Safeguard, "Safeguard, fly down from here and explore the situation in the canyon, then come back and report to me..."

"Yes, master!"

Safeguard waved its wings, thin as cicada wings, and descended from in front of him, quickly disappearing from sight.

Sun Cheng grew bored and looked around, trying to find a safe route down nearby.

Unexpectedly, as his gaze swept past a certain spot not far from the public restroom, he suddenly noticed some peculiar protrusions on the ground. Without hesitation, he aimed his gun in that direction and walked slowly toward it.

Upon closer inspection, Sun Cheng realized he hadn't been mistaken. The slightly uneven ground turned out to be composed of thin alloy plates, likely part of the restroom's enclosure.

Something seemed to be pressed beneath the alloy plates, causing faint bulges to appear.
