"The fusion of parallel universes is a blessing for one, but a disaster for the other. Countless lives and civilizations will be deprived of their essence and face extinction as the two universes merge. Can anyone be certain that their parallel universe will always remain in an advantageous position?"

The brutal nature of parallel universe fusion had finally been understood by Sun Cheng. It left him drenched in cold sweat, contemplating in front of the light sphere for a long time before he let out a sigh, managing to suppress the panic within him.

In the end, he still hadn't discovered the origin of the spherical space within his body, leaving Sun Cheng somewhat disappointed.

However, he had a feeling that with the continuous fusion with other universes, if he could find one or two pieces of amber-like objects, it might bring about a change in this space. It could potentially lead him back to its source.

It was just a slight annoyance that Sun Cheng quickly cast aside.

His gaze once again fell upon the light sphere, and after a moment's hesitation, Sun Cheng silently chose to return.

The changes in the spherical space did not mean he had lost the ability to traverse different worlds. The three light screens that had previously occupied the central position in the space had not vanished. Instead, they had merged completely into the light sphere. Similar to before, it still required two hundred energy points to travel or return, but there were some additional changes as well.

Shaking his head, Sun Cheng regained his composure and noticed that he had returned to reality.

He glanced down at the still-illuminated flashlight in his hand, and his eyes flickered slightly. Just as a thought emerged in his mind, the surroundings suddenly darkened, and the flashlight vanished from sight.

"So, this is one of the new capabilities of the upgraded spherical space?"

With another thought springing to mind, the interior of the car lit up again. Lowering his head to look at his hand, he confirmed that the tactical flashlight, which had abruptly disappeared, had once again reappeared.

Storage capacity!

This was one of the new capabilities of the upgraded spherical space. As long as the size of an object did not exceed the accommodating area of the spherical space, it could be stored within it.

In Sun Cheng's opinion, this was an incredibly powerful ability. Not to mention that the spherical space was quite spacious, it could even accommodate small mechanical devices, and after the expansion, it could hold a full-sized truck. Furthermore, based on his speculation, items stored within the spherical space could not only be retrieved in the real world but potentially also used in different worlds!

However, a slight concern arose within him. Each time an item was stored or retrieved from the spherical space, it consumed a certain amount of energy. Moreover, the larger the item, the more energy it required. If he were to use the space as a storage area, it would inevitably deplete a portion of the stored energy. It was a trade-off that had its own advantages and disadvantages!

After careful consideration in his mind, Sun Cheng felt that, for him, this should be a situation where the benefits outweighed the drawbacks. He immediately took off his backpack from his back and removed all the equipment he had obtained from the ghost hunter. He also placed several boxes of bullets into the storage space.

Leaving only a few weapons and ammunition on his person, Sun Cheng checked the bullets and weapons. Then, he glanced at Safeguard and Revenge, which he had not put away, and commanded, "Both of you, transform back into insect form. Once you detect any danger, protect me."

"Yes, Master!"

After making adequate preparations, Sun Cheng finally got out of the car. He cast a lingering gaze at the Humvee and then lifted his weapon without looking back. With Safeguard and Revenge by his side, he walked along the road towards the location of the hunter's spaceship.

On Isla Nublar, after the rainstorm, the air felt particularly fresh.

Breathing in the air infused with a strong scent of grass, Sun Cheng's tense spirit began to relax slightly.

He didn't turn on the flashlight for a couple of reasons. Firstly, he wasn't sure if the battery would last until he reached the spaceship. Secondly, he was concerned that the light might attract nocturnal predators.

Besides, not using a flashlight wasn't a significant issue. Although it somewhat affected his vision, his eyes had grown accustomed to the darkness. He no longer had to worry about the danger of losing his light source in case of a sudden attack.

Walking at a steady pace along the road constructed by the International Genetic Technology Company on the island, Sun Cheng occasionally heard dinosaur roars echoing from various parts of the island. Fortunately, he didn't encounter any dinosaurs, not even the herbivorous ones.

After over half an hour, Sun Cheng finally arrived at the entrance to Zone E, guarded by a security checkpoint.

With Safeguard's assistance, he quickly passed through the checkpoint and entered Zone E. His relaxed nerves tensed once again, and Sun Cheng slowed his pace.

"Beep, beep..."

Safeguard, responsible for reconnaissance about ten meters away, suddenly emitted a warning sound. Sun Cheng's heart tightened, and he immediately crouched down on the grass beside the road, remaining alert. He also glanced at Revenge, who was standing beside him to provide protection.

"Master, Safeguard has detected a laser locator set by the Ghost Hunter. We may have entered a hunter's hunting area!"

Vengeance quickly received Safeguard's message and conveyed the reason in a cold electronic voice.

"A hunting area?"

Sun Cheng was taken aback. After leaving Dr. Settler behind, he had learned in detail about the Ghost Hunter and the civilization's coming-of-age ceremony from Safeguard during his solo journey.

As far as he knew, the Ghost Hunters were a highly bloodthirsty race that revered valor. The coming-of-age ceremony was their most significant event, where, unless under special circumstances, they conducted hunts in groups of three. The goal was to hunt down the most powerful prey within a designated time frame, and the higher the rating, the greater their achievements.

The evaluation of the coming-of-age ceremony determined the hunters' future careers and status within the race. Consequently, during the ceremony, almost every hunter went all out in their hunting endeavors.

Therefore, of the three Ghost Hunters that had arrived on the island, one had targeted and mercilessly slaughtered the island's security personnel, while another pursued Major Dutch and his team, sparing not even the Velociraptor.

Sun Cheng was initially curious about the whereabouts of the third Ghost, who had yet to reveal themselves. Now it seemed that this individual had likely set their sights on the most formidable prehistoric beast on the island—the Tyrannosaurus Rex. They intended to rely solely on their equipped cold weapons to hunt down the king of dinosaurs.

As Sun Cheng perceived the Ghost Hunter's intent, he felt a mix of admiration and caution. This individual either had an advantage over the others or possessed greater strength and combat experience. Judging from the size alone, it was evident that the Tyrannosaurus Rex was not an easy opponent.

Once Safeguard confirmed the safety of the locator's vicinity, Sun Cheng, accompanied by Vengeance, continued towards the spaceship while bypassing the locator.

However, after walking only a few dozen meters, a terrifying roar erupted from the depths of the nearby forest, followed by the sound of trees toppling, debris being flung, and heavy objects colliding.

Sun Cheng's expression changed as he looked towards the source of the noise. Little did he expect that Vengeance, who had been silently protecting him, suddenly leaped up and launched a blow dart towards a nearby large tree.

With the sound of a heavy object falling, Sun Cheng, who had belatedly reacted, felt a chill on his face. Instinctively, he reached up to wipe it off, only to discover that his fingers were covered in a cold and sticky liquid.

"I'm injured!"

Hastily touching his cheek again, Sun Cheng finally felt the sting as his facial nerves responded. It was then that he realized he had been wounded!
