The orange crystal was indeed the piece of amber originally embedded in Hammond's cane!

As he held it in his hand, Sun Cheng suppressed the increasingly intense devouring desire in his heart and looked seriously at the amber. His eyes were filled with confusion.

It was an ordinary-looking amber stone, perhaps completely fossilized due to its ancient age. It had a cold, gem-like touch when touched, but there was an unsightly long drilling hole at the bottom.

The amber didn't seem to have anything peculiar about it, except perhaps the surprisingly large mosquito trapped inside. It was almost as big as half an adult finger.

After carefully holding it in his hand and examining it for a while, Sun Cheng's confusion deepened. With his experience, he could tell that the amber was valuable, but that was about it. What he couldn't understand was how it could trigger the mysterious spherical space within him and make it constantly emit a desire to devour?

He couldn't comprehend it!

So he decided to stop thinking about it altogether!

Sun Cheng held the amber in his hand and, after gently kneading it for a while, he stopped suppressing the increasingly strong waves of devouring desire in his heart. He actively responded to the spherical space inside him, wanting to see what it would do.

The next moment, he felt a slight dizziness in his head. When Sun Cheng regained his senses, he found himself inside the mysterious spherical space.

Right in front of him, a fist-sized amber shone brightly in the spherical space, resembling the sun. The amber seemed to have gained an inexplicable pulling force, and visible rays of light continuously emanated from it, being attracted and pulled into the spherical space.

In the next moment, it felt as if the world had been upended, and the spherical space was filled with dense, deep blue clouds pouring in from an unknown source. The clouds rapidly filled every corner of the space, expanding and multiplying.

Gradually, sounds reminiscent of shattering glass echoed through the space.

Unfortunately, Sun Cheng was completely engulfed by the dense sea-blue clouds, unable to see anything, only able to hear.

Because of the amber crystal obtained from Hammond, a drastic transformation occurred within the spherical space in his body.

This change unfolded beyond his perception, but luckily, it didn't last too long. Following a series of crackling sounds, Sun Cheng finally noticed the dissipating sea-blue clouds that had obstructed his senses. After approximately two to three minutes, they completely vanished.

After everything settled, he eagerly looked into the spherical space before him, and with a single glance, he couldn't help but exclaim, "Huh!" He finally noticed the changes in this enigmatic space.

Everything was different now!

That was the only sensation he experienced.

Although the spherical outline remained familiar, the space itself had expanded by five to six times its original size, extending beyond the previous 20 to 30 square meters. The field of vision was broader, and the most prominent change occurred at the center of the spherical space.

The three original light screens that were there have completely disappeared, replaced by a strange blue ball of light suspended in the air. It appears to be no larger than an adult's fist, but it gives off a sense of vastness, majestic inviolability, and a strange sacredness!

Sun Cheng couldn't help but be shocked when he saw that the two light screens that allowed him to freely travel between the two worlds had disappeared completely.

Now he understood that everything he had gained was due to the ability to traverse this spherical space. If he couldn't return to the other world anymore, he would be at a great loss!

While feeling complex emotions, Sun Cheng floated in front of the ball of light, staring intently at it, trying to discern some of its mysterious origins.

Unfortunately, to his disappointment, although the ball of light gave off a strange feeling, it appeared to be just an ordinary ball of light from the outside.

He circled around it, but it remained unchanged, failing to evoke any response.

Feeling restless, Sun Cheng suddenly had a thought and remembered how he had triggered those light screens in the past.

In that instant, he tried to use his ghostly body to reach out and touch the strange blue ball of light floating in front of him.

The moment they made contact, Sun Cheng felt a thunderous roar in his mind, as an overwhelming amount of information flooded into his consciousness like a tide!

It felt as though a year had passed, yet it also felt like just a few minutes.

When Sun Cheng opened his eyes again, he realized that he could see every corner of the expanded space within the ball in front of him. There was not a single spot that escaped his gaze.

Even the previously obscured boundaries, hidden behind the sea-blue fluorescence, were now clearly visible with layer upon layer of sparkling transparent walls, encasing this mysterious space and separating it from the endless unknown beyond.

"A realm? An otherworldly space," Sun Cheng sighed deeply. "The more I learn, the more I realize how ignorant I am!"

Despite the sigh, he couldn't help but feel immensely excited and content at this moment.

It had been several months since he had encountered this inexplicable situation and discovered this strange spherical space within himself.

Yet, during those months, his understanding of this space remained superficial, barely surpassing complete ignorance.

Only now, after this spherical space had been activated by the amber crystal he obtained from Hammond, did he finally gain some insight into this mysterious space and even the information related to the amber.

His gaze lingered on the peculiar blue ball of light in front of him for a moment before Sun Cheng quickly moved away, letting out a soft sigh.

"How extraordinary..."

If he hadn't personally experienced all of this, he would never have believed the information that had just been revealed to him through this communion.

"World tree..."

Sun Cheng muttered softly, his eyes filled with confusion, horror, and increasing panic.

Just now, he had learned a set of absurd theories called the "World Tree" from the light sphere. Despite Sun Cheng's best efforts, he found himself completely unable to refute it. In fact, his recent experiences seemed to confirm the authenticity of this theory.

The theory of the "World Tree" suggests that the world is like a giant tree, unique and spanning dimensions and latitudes. The trunk represents a single universe, while the branches symbolize countless parallel universes. These parallel universes rely on the trunk universe, the main universe, for their existence.

According to the theory of the "World Tree," the parallel universes branch out at different points in time due to the various choices made by different forms of life. Each choice leads to a different path, resulting in the formation of countless parallel universes alongside the main universe.

"One thought, one universe, one grain of sand, one world?"

As Sun Cheng carefully sorted and processed the terrifying theories he had just absorbed, a quote came to his mind. Being from an eastern country, he had little religious belief, but this Zen saying naturally came to his thoughts.

Each parallel universe represents a possibility!

According to the "World Tree" theory, in some parallel universes, the Qin Dynasty may not have ended after three generations. In others, Cao Cao might have unified the three kingdoms and become emperor. There could be parallel universes where the industrial revolution began during the Tang and Song dynasties. In yet another parallel universe, Zheng He might have brought back countless pearls, jade, gold, and silver, opening up an era of great navigation from the east. There could even be a parallel universe where the Jin and Ming dynasties ruled China for four hundred years, leading to tremendous changes for the Han people throughout generations.

"...Although parallel universes represent countless possibilities, some paths are feasible while others are dead ends. Therefore, parallel universes that can no longer evolve will be annihilated, while those that continue to develop will intersect with other parallel universes at a certain point in time. They might be absorbed or consumed, creating new possibilities..."

Sun Cheng was not an idiot; otherwise, he would not have been admitted to a top domestic polytechnic institute. After digesting the "World Tree" theory, he keenly grasped the most critical point, "So, the world I live in, is it just a parallel universe?"

Yes!

The main universe is unique and continues to follow its own trajectory until the day of its restart.

However, parallel universes are different. The fusion of two parallel universes is not simply an addition problem where 1+1=2.

There will not suddenly be two suns in the sky, nor will Earth gain an identical twin brother with its own moon.

When certain parallel universes follow similar paths, an invisible force will push them to merge. This integration occurs based on the universe with a stronger developmental foundation, assimilating the essence of the other universe. One universe gains a better chance to evolve, while the other is destined for rapid annihilation.

The so-called essence of the universe comes from a few intelligent beings with special missions in the merging parallel universe. They bring unique knowledge, technology, and mysterious laws that cannot be explained.

"...That makes sense. International Genetic Technology Corporation, Hammond—they all come from the merged parallel universe, Jurassic Park. Major Dutch and the Ghost Hunter may come from Predator?"

As for the amber, since it is likely to be an important object related to the process of the parallel universe merging with Jurassic Park, it was imbued with some of the mysterious laws from the world of Jurassic Park. That is why it triggered a violent reaction within the spherical space in Sun Cheng's body.
