"Where am I?"

Shang-Chi stood up, feeling dizzy, and then realized that this situation had occurred not long ago, but strangely, a certain pain and rawness had left him.

He felt that the flow of energy within him was smoother than ever before, and those mysterious powers that were rarely under his control seemed to have become embedded in his muscles and bones, becoming a natural part of him. As he jumped up, he unconsciously applied this force to his legs and arms, making his movements stronger and more powerful.

Shang-Chi jumped up from the ground with a somersault, then heard a heavy, too rough breathing sound coming from his right side, so he instinctively rolled again to avoid a lashing tentacle. M.I.

"Again?!"

Shang-Chi exclaimed in surprise, but found that he was not really afraid, because the bright light clearly told him that it was daytime and the sun was shining, with a gentle breeze blowing.

Goodness, he was even in the mood to feel the breeze, Shang-Chi complained inwardly, then turned his head to look at the owner of the tentacle on his right side.

Well, it was a monster he still didn't know how to describe, a bit like a shortened king cobra, now raising its bloated upper body and waving its chest tentacles like a whirlwind.

Shang-Chi glanced at it, then turned and ran, passing Reilly who was just getting up from the ground. Shang-Chi skillfully grabbed Reilly's arm and pulled him up, and they ran together.

"Hey, what's going on?" Reilly was still a little dizzy, and said, "Has time traveled back? Or are we in another dream?"

"Who knows!" Shang-Chi shouted impatiently. As they burst out of the mall, another monster resembling a zombie jumped down, creating a large pit on the ground and blocking their path.

Shang-Chi and Reilly braked urgently, and Reilly turned his head to Shang-Chi and said, "So what's the situation now?"

"I don't know, I just woke up!"

They ran to the side of the street, but the king cobra monster and the zombie that had jumped down earlier were relentlessly chasing them.

Reilly finally couldn't stand running on the ground anymore, and following his Spider-Man instincts, he jumped up the wall of the building and started climbing quickly in a Spider-Man pose, shouting at Shang-Chi, "Why are we running? !"

"If we don't run, what else can we do... wait, my tongue is still there!"

Shang-Chi stretched his tongue hard, then licked the inside of his mouth, and looked at Reilly's ear, finding no trace of blood. Reilly also dug in his ear and said, "Yes, my ear has recovered, as if it had never been injured."

With a "swoosh" sound, Shang-Chi braked urgently, and Reilly had not reacted in time, running out a few dozen meters, then had to hurry back, jump to the ground, stand behind Shang-Chi, panting and gasping, "What's wrong with you? Why did you stop again?"

Shang-Chi shook his arm, moved his shoulders, then lifted his legs a few times in place, turning his head to look at Reilly and said, "You're right, why are we running?"

"But if we don't run, what else can we do... hey, I'm Spider-Man!" Reilly suddenly reacted, and he and Shang-Chi turned their heads together, staring wide-eyed at the two monsters rushing towards them, and slowly said, "They're not illusions, but real, tangible monsters!"

With a screeching sound of metal scraping, the tilted power pole was bent down, and then there were two "swoosh" sounds of a huge object being swung, followed by a loud "bang".

The king cobra and the zombie were both sent flying hundreds of meters away by Reilly's huge electric pole, disappearing from sight.

Reilly and Shang-Chi looked at each other, both seeing excitement in the other's eyes.

Reilly stretched out a hand, and the spider web fluid shot out and stuck to the surface of the building. The spider web glistened in the sunlight, and the threads danced in the air as he swung.

But Shang-Chi was even faster. He gathered his energy in his feet, shrank the distance in an instant, then raised two fingers, which glowed with light, and wrote a series of complex spells in the air. Then he gently bit his tongue, and the spell was cast.

"Tianyou Tianyou, descend to the nine states, meet demons and cut them, encounter ghosts and capture them - as swift as an imperial decree!"

Instantly, two armored warriors with long spears rushed towards the monsters. The tentacle monster that resembled a king cobra screeched and lashed its tentacles wildly around, but when the spear stabbed its abdomen, it seemed to be enraged by the pain and thrashed its upper body frantically.

A black shadow attacked from the side, kicking the already unstable king cobra monster to the ground, then rolled to avoid the attacking zombie, and the armored warrior thrust its spear, impaling the zombie.

The two armored warriors stood with one hand, saluted, and disappeared. Before they disappeared, Reilly circled around them twice, exclaiming in amazement, and seeing Shang-Chi approaching, his eyes shining, he said, "Goodness, you have this ability too? You actually said you were just an ordinary person!"

Shang-Chi's face was a little pale, and he shook his head and sighed, "Fortunately, I learned this spell before I left. It's good everywhere, but it consumes a lot of spiritual energy and can't last too long."

And then he complained in a voice that Reilly could barely hear, "I don't know what the original owner of this body was thinking, using all his energy to train muscles, I'm a sorcerer player after all..."

After defeating two monsters, the two finally had time to carefully examine the nearby environment, and as expected, New York was destroyed again, but this time more thoroughly, more in line with the apocalyptic scene in their minds.

The collapsed buildings and burned vehicles need not be mentioned, the traces of artillery coverage on the streets, police cars, military vehicles, and even a helicopter lying on the ground were all emitting cigarette smoke, obviously having just experienced a major battle.

Seeing such a grim scene, the two were not worried at all, but rather heaved a sigh of relief, at least it was a traditional apocalypse.

Walking along the destroyed street, Reilly's tone was even a bit relaxed: "I feel my Spider-Sense has recovered, it's running normally, how about you?"

"My qi is no longer chaotic either," Shang-Chi said, frowning as he experienced it, then his eyebrows gradually relaxed and he said, "And it seems to be running more smoothly than before. After all, before it was running wild in all the meridians of my body, which let me know what those so-called meridians are really like. Now I can even see them clearly in the field of view of introspection, just like Director Zheng said."

Shang-Chi shrugged and said, "You know, our kind of power emphasizes 'form and spirit as one'. In fact, I couldn't smoothly use that technique just now, because everyone's qi flows differently. Although theoretically I know where the qi should go, I didn't know how to guide them with my mind and spirit. Now I know."

"It seems that terrible dream wasn't entirely without benefit, right?" Reilly smiled.

"But please don't let it happen again," Shang-Chi shook his head.

After that, they began to focus on a more important problem, which was where their previous teammates had gone, including Wanda, JARVIS, who were with them before, and Quill and Rocket Raccoon who rushed over later. There was no trace of them on this street at all.

"It seems we are completely separated from them," Reilly said with some worry. "I'm sure JARVIS can take care of himself, and he should be able to take care of Wanda too, but Wanda's condition is really worrying."

"The power she drew at the end was too terrible, and she even ignited it. I'm not sure what state she exists in now, but I hope nothing goes wrong."

Shang-Chi also frowned at the messy street scene around him. Now his five senses were very sharp, and he could even feel every wisp of breeze blowing past his ears. It was this breeze that blew a barely perceptible breath into his ear.

"There's someone over there," Shang-Chi stopped in his tracks, turning his head to look inside the store window at the counter, and Reilly stopped. After carefully sensing it, he found that the spider web in his mind had been gently plucked.

His Spider-Sense had also become more sensitive, and he could even use it to actively perceive certain things. He stepped towards the house, and Shang-Chi wanted to pull him back, but Reilly shook his head and gently pushed his arm, saying, "It should only be an ordinary person, no danger."

The two entered the store, but saw the black hole of a gun barrel sticking out from behind the counter. Given that the gun barrel was still trembling slightly, Reilly could judge that this person didn't handle guns often and was now very afraid.

"Are you okay? Don't be afraid, we're here to rescue you."

"Get out of here!" A shrill female voice came from behind the counter.

Reilly sighed and tried to soothe her as much as possible, saying, "Don't get so excited, miss, you can trust us, we're superheroes, we'll save you."

Apparently, during his time with the New Warriors team, Reilly had learned a lot from others, including how to better rescue ordinary people in disasters, communicate with civilization, rather than just grab them and throw them aside. Although sometimes the latter is more effective, but when the situation is not so urgent, you also need to consider the psychological state of the other party. Victims who are already in a state of stress, once subjected to physical stimulation again, are very likely to do irrational things. Although they won't hurt Spider-Man, they can easily hurt themselves, which would go against his purpose of rescuing people.

Reilly bent down slowly and took a step forward, trying not to make a sound, then held out both hands to show he had no weapons, saying, "Don't worry, we're not monsters."

"But superheroes are monsters!" The woman screamed frantically, the black hole of the gun barrel turning and turning, seemingly not knowing who to aim at. She shouted, "You, you all are! Get out of here, or I'll shoot!"

Reilly and Shang-Chi exchanged a glance, finding something amiss. Reilly attracted the woman's attention, while Shang-Chi stealthily circled around to one side of the counter. But when he saw the girl crouching behind the counter, he exclaimed in surprise, "Jessica? Jessica Jones? What are you doing here?"

Hearing her name, the girl or woman hiding behind the counter paused for a moment, and taking advantage of this opportunity, Reilly quickly grabbed the gun barrel. With a "bang", sparks from the old hunting rifle flew out, knocking out the chandelier on the ceiling.

Reilly and Shang-Chi rushed into the counter from left and right at an extremely fast speed, pinning down Jessica, but her strength was much greater than they had imagined.

"Let me go! You monsters!"

"We're not monsters, I'm Spider-Man!"

"Spider-Man is a monster too!"

"Bang!"

Reilly looked at Jessica slowly falling to the ground, then shifted his gaze to Shang-Chi's fist that had just been retracted. Shang-Chi sighed and said, "I told you, I'm better at physical persuasion."
