Today's lesson also includes a backing track MP3 to practice the riff in the studio key of E
Today we are going to learn how to play "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve. The song is just a two measure circle that plays throughout the entire song, but because it is in the key of E which is a tricky key it wouldn't really be considered a beginner song. The 2 bar circle plays throught the entire song with a very cool melody riff that plays over the top that is being played by the violin, which we are going to tab out for the ukulele as well. Because the song is in the key of E we will also show you the barre chords, which I think is actually easier than the open chords as well as a beginner version in the key of D. We will also show you the violin riff in the key of D and we will break down the first melodic phrase on the ukulele as well so you can see how you can start to sing it. I trade to sing this one a couple of times but it was WAY too high for me to sing, sorry about that.
