I an attempt to try something new, I bought a drone. I am open to creative ideas, so I want to ask you, how should I use the drone?

I want to push the visual aspects of my channel to the next level, but I always want this channel to be music based, whether it is teaching, cover, exploring genres, even story telling, as long as the backbone is music. I have some really good ideas that are in their early stages, so I don't want to share them yet, but the idea is to explore new, fun, creative avenues, as long as they are based in music.

Youtube is an audio/visual platform. I believe that I currently I excel in the audio department, but it wasn't always this way. High end sound quality is a priority. When I moved from Buenos Aires to Medellin my house was empty, super empty, no TV, no fridge, no sofa.... no bed!. Plus, it had concrete walls and tile floors, the sound bounced around like a game of pong, one person even commented "Great video... but did you film it in your toilet?" Since that comment I have dedicated a portion of the resources made through you lovely Patreons to improving your auditory experience.

All the audio is recorded through multiple microphones and into a DAW through Kashmir pre-amps, each mic having its own pre-amp, where I have multiple tracks that I mix and master down into one quality audio track that I then sync up with video which uses none of the camera's audio. High quality audio, but, youtube is also a visual platform, that is why I am brainstorming how I can strengthen that area. If you have noticed a difference in the introductions that is because I recently invested in a 35mm lens with a very deep aperture (F 1.4!) to try and give our tutorials a stronger visual sense too.

Thanks for any ideas!

P.S. Yes, the roof is getting closer!

There is an app that at least works in the US, called "B4UFly" which tells you any warnings if you are in a space where flying drones is not permited. Some places near govt buildings or airports it may be illiegal and they may take down your drone.

about filming and playing uke ? Find nice spots and record yourself with the drone making traveling / rotate around you... But you'll have to do editing because it's good to alternate various plans from a study camera and the drone one. Of course, record sound with good stuff close enough for avoiding recording the noise of the drone (fly far elough). You'll need someone I think to control the drone. This one has several intersting "automatic" modes predefined (but manageable) . A little time ago, I saw a YouTube video with a great ukulele artist, in Hawaï, but I don't remember who ? I'll try to recover it. It was a team for filming... You have to train yourself before that of course, but what nice results !
