Today's lesson is a classic tune done in the chord melody style. We are going to learn how to play "Hey Jude" by the Beatles and we are going to make that melody pop. At it's core this song only has 5 chords, D, Em, G, A and C, but they also have A7, A7sus4, Cadd9 just to name a few so you will see a lot of chord shapes as well. It is pretty amazing how much melody you can pull out of just a couple of chords.

In the video tutorial we will walk you through the lesson phrase for phrase, note for note and you can print out the tabs and follow along with a full play-along at the end. Admitedly it isn't my strongest play-along, I would've liked to have played the song for one more day as I have been playing it all night and it already sounds much better, but it will help you put all the pieces to the song together. Enjoy this classic!
