Today we are going breaking down "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield on the Ukulele. It seems like an appropriate song given the times lately. If you can get that this song is a breeze, some people find the E chord easier to play as a barre shape so we also provided all the barre chords as well if you wanted to play the song with barre chords. The song has harmonics as well, which are tricky but we will show you how to break those down, after we will do the verse, verse 3 is a little different and the chorus. There is also a riff that is barely audible depending on the mix that we will break down as well so you can rock that out if you have a second ukulele and are performing with a friend. It is crazy how Neil Young has been in so many great bands... and his music is great on every instrument you play it on.

On the verse riff, I hear you playing the open A string, but I don't see it on the tab. Should that very last note in the riff be on the A string rather than the E string? This is a great tune, thanks!

April Mink

yup. that note seemed to get left out but pretty clear from Tyler's hands. Thanks Tyler! STarted looking for a uke version of this song yesterday. too bad it is still appropriate almost 60 years later!

Tyler Austenfeld

Yes, that is a mistake, it alternates between the open E and the open A, thank you for the heads up I will fix the tab. Thanks!

Tyler Austenfeld

Too bad it is more appropriate than ever.... that is also why it is more important than ever to keep on singing it!
