I think we're all here for that Cliffhanger.

Something's coming . . . . Ah! They're here! Those Sontarans came in sneaky!

this story ties in to the last book "lungbarrow' but has a bit more to go

You have to remember that The Doctor was much younger than most Time Lords when he reached his 10th Regeneration....

Lol I'm not sure how I'm supposed to know that especially because I have no idea what happens with 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Thank you for a wonderful reaction after the first 2 parts of you not being too sure about the story. Plenty of great moments in these two parts which I can't really add to after your summary. it seemed somewhat unusual that Leela & the band of rebels (known as Shobogan's) were able to seemingly kill timelords with bows and arrows - maybe they regenerated off screen. Plus I love the end reveal of course. Greatly looknig forward to your next reaction of the final parts, which I'll be a bit late watching as I'm going on holiday next week. See you next time!

Rodan/Leela 4 ever! <3

Well, like The Master, The Doctor will lead such a "rackety life" - as Runcible the 'Fatuous' put it! - in The Deadly Assassin. Time Lords and Ladies within the Citadel have lives that are relatively free from care and incident.

Alas, poor Third Vardan - he's never going to get to pick that pasque flower for hs sweetheart now...

Another 4th Doctor favorite of mine... Although just imagine if they'd swaped out the Vardans with the Sontarans from the start (or perhaps Cybermen and then replaced the Sontarans with Daleks at that cliffhanger...? Oh that's just given me an idea for a story, where in each part the Doctor seems to defeat who we think is the Big-Bad of this, only for an even Bigger Bad to suddenly pop in, each one progressivly stronger and more dangerious then the previous, until we finally meet the true villain behind everything in this, someone who was there the whole time and least suspected until the very end episode.
