The face on the thumbnail says it all.

Josef Schiltz

K9: Affirmative! Reaction endorsed, processed and noted Mistress! Jess . . . . friend!

Alex Cafetzoglou

That was exactly the face I wanted to see on the thumbnail! :)

James Fish

Thanks for another great reaction! I recall when, way back in Robot when the Robot had the name K-1 and you asked whether there would be a K2-K-8, then onto K-9. I guess, thinking about it, K-9 could have been an example of much more advanced robotics so it could fit. So glad you're enjoying this one & not to mention another appearence of Michael Sheard, last seen as Marcus Scarman in Pyramids of Mars. Good all round story. See you next time!

Matthew Beckford

I thought you'd get excited, but... WOW. The K9 reactions start here!

Vanessa J McNamara

Geez girl, I think you screamed louder than you did for the 2nd Doctor in The Three Doctors.Lol So great! It is a really good story, one of my favourites

Ian Smith

I made the deliberate decision to wear earphones for this reaction. Ouch! It was worth it, though; and I've been waiting for this :)

Josef Schiltz

That one broke the sound system! Officially, Jess has a sound effect that is the polar opposite of Tim Foust - but the sound system still breaks quite satisfactorily. As for the ears . . well! It's neither ear nor there! Quite frankly . . . What do you say to the ears? AAAAAAHHH!

David Vandervliet

This story is Sheard’s 4th role. And he has a few more to come. Most people will remember him Admiral Ozzel, the officer Vader chokes over FaceTime in Empire before the battle on Hoth. He also plays Hitler, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Autographing the grail diary.

James Fish

Yes he's had many memorable roles. He also played Hitler in The Tomorrow People & of course who can forget his legendary performance of Mr Bronsen in Grange Hill?!

Josef Schiltz

K9: Affirmative. The Kilbracken cloning technique replicates from the single cell as a short-lived carbon copy. Efficacy of individuation not completely guaranteed. Leela: Can you explain simply? K9: Negative.

Brodie Vickers

The Metal-Mutt has entered the building!

Owen Wildish

You should do a film reaction to the 1966 movie 'Fantastic Voyage' which was the inspiration behind this Doctor Who serial.

Nicole Mazza

Been excitedly anticipating your reaction to this story for weeks. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! (I'm a huge K-9 stan as well, so Leela + K-9 is one of my fave team-ups EVER) ❤️❤️

Nicole Mazza

I don't know why I totally forgot Sheard played Hitler in the Tomorrow People, too -- thanks so much for reminding me! (And 'Hitler's Last Secret' is one of my long-time fave TP stories -- I haven't rewatched it in YEARS, though, I might do that this weekend!)

Nicole Mazza

My wife, who is sound-sensitive due to autism, came in the room while I was watching this and I paused it and warned her that when K-9 came on screen, Jess was probably going to scream. She stayed in the room, but with her noise-cancelling headphones on, playing music, so she was okay. It was proper loud for me, though. Jess can scream in joy with the best of them (and I love her for it!). 😆

Josef Schiltz

Yes. I have that same sound sensitivity for the exact-same reason. It can be difficult to cope with at times. Tzvi Lebetkin - 'The Rabbi From Another Planet' can be a real problem because he starts every post with a very raw yell and I have to put the sound down very low because of it. I also have light sensitivity which, being an artist, stopped me from drawing outside and using a lightbox can get problematical and it took me ages to find the light balance to cope with light-tracing. It's fortunate when you know what's coming and I knew that the positive joy of the feedback from seeing K9's first appearance was going to be worth it. Seeing others happy always sets me up into a happier frame of mind. I know Jess loves dogs and then there's that special creation, K9. K9: Endorsed!

James Fish

I only realized because I have the box set of the Tomorrow People. It's a really good story. I want to try and get hold of the remake done in the 90's (of which, Christopher Lee stars in one of them) but it's like gold dust!

Josef Schiltz

I remember walking past a local pub and they had a little fox terrier - by then about 21 years old - who, even then, was doing his duty much like K9 and it was a stand-off between himself and a customer trying to enter their small carpark. The dog just facing off the customer, just wanting to park their car and the dog like a little attendant. You could imagine him thinking, Retreat, retreat! You cannot come in! Eventually though, he just turned around dismissively as much to say, Urrgh! Come on. You might as well! I'm off to have a snooze! He turned from K9 to Marvin in an instant.

Anonymous Goanna

Knew K9 was coming up but forgot it was this story, I squealed too. Don't know how I didn't see K9 in thumbnail.

Anonymous

Well she didn’t disappoint with her reaction over K-9
