The girl who said the line "I was someone's daughter once" was played by Ewan McGregor's actual daughter. I knew the homeless clone would get to you. And now you know why Leia knew exactly who Luke was talking about when he was said he had arrived at the Death Star with "Ben" Kenobi, rather than "Obi-wan".

One of the awkward things about this show is that it feels like the writers were expecting Ewan to be given much more old age makeup than he ended up with, so we have all these times when someone talks about how old he looks as if it takes until age 80 before you start getting grey in your beard. Especially weird is Leia's "Grandfather, maybe" crack, seeing as Ewan is sixteen years younger than Jimmy Smits, and they very much look it.

Also, Obi-Wan realizes how much the stakes are raised in that moment. Not only is he rescuing Anakin's daughter, he's now protecting Anakin's daughter from Anakin.

Weirder still is how in only nine years' time following this series, Obi-Wan looks like Alec Guiness. I get a laugh at how you say it’s as if there’s the belief that it takes until you’re eighty until you get grey in your beard. I've already got some grey in my beard, in the chin specifically, and I'm only in my early thirties, so yeah it does create a somewhat jarring dissonance between Ewan’s appearance and the writing suggesting he looks ancient.

Yeah, I think the original Star Wars series shot itself in the foot by casting such an elderly actor to play Kenobi. I think his aging as shown here is more realistic. Although running from the Empire can age a person, certainly.
