So, with Steven no longer employed at the museum, I’m worried that this means we won’t see Donna again. If so, that’s a shame because she was my favorite character thus far. It was interesting with this episode providing further explanation and exposition regarding what’s going on. Layla’s an interesting character so far. Ethan Hawke is proving to be most entertaining as Harrow. I am loving F. Murray Abraham as Khonshu, which is not surprising in the slightest as Murray’s one of the very best actors around. The question of is Marc the dominant personality or is it Steven, I also am unfamiliar with the character from the comics and am therefore unable to say with certainty. I will say that either way seems plausible. It’s amusing hearing Marc’s sales pitch to Steven. How he’s telling him that working for Khonshu is a breeze. All he’s got to do is dispense justice, punish the wicked, presumably at some point compose a requiem mass so that he can swoop in and take all the credit for it. The way Harrow describes Ammit recalls Minority Report, and as Steven points out raises an interesting moral conundrum. If I were in Steven’s shoes, I’d have yelled back at everyone telling him to summon the suit, “I’d like to, but you’re not giving me any real indication as to exactly how I’m supposed to do that!” Another small moment that stood out was that when Harrow says it must be difficult having all the voices in one’s head. I find myself nodding my head in agreement, and I’m saying to myself, “It is a gargantuan pain in the ass, yeah, though at least none of the voices in my head have any names. They’re very touchy about that sometimes.” As to the most important topic of debate in this episode, I agree with you and say that the suit that Steven summoned was much more impressive than the one that I would imagine is more comic accurate. Thus far, this show has been good, and I’m very much enjoying seeing your reactions to it, as well as hearing your insights. Looking forward to more. Also, good to hear that you’re feeling better.
