((Y/N)'s POV) Age: 7

My brother and I were in the middle of our lessons and this month's topic was going to be about monsters and the adventurer's system. The books we were given yesterday were so interesting. It talked about every monster's class and strengths and weaknesses, how dungeons work, the process of how a guild is run, the making of weapons, the culture and strategies of battles, the amount of history put into these pages, and how to navigate the basic skill screen everyone in the world can pull up. I secretly stayed up late last night reading this and thought about me going out with my bow and arrow to be a hero like the people who made it into this book. The teacher went on with the lesson until...

Teacher-Surprise quiz, time. (B/N), tell me all the rankings in order.

(B/N)-Um... F, D, C, B, A, and S.

Teacher-Wrong. (Y/N)?

(Y/N)-There are G, F, D, C, B, A, S, double S, and triple S. The rankings can go differently for food, equipment, weapons, potions, monsters, dungeons, adventurers in different categories, quests, and various other skills.

Teacher-Correct. Now, let's move on to what differences you will find. Although since you know that much, I would say you jumped ahead in the book.

I turned when I felt (B/N) kick me, so I scooted away from him to pay attention to the lesson. This is my favorite part of these lessons... Later, it was time for field training and it always ends the same way.

*WHACK*

My wooden sword flew out of my hand and (B/N) kicked me out of the ring... again.

Teacher-Stop. We have a winner.

(B/N)-Hehehehe. Where's your book smarts now? ~

When the turned turned around, he spat on the ground next to me before the teacher came back with a healing potion for me. I healed myself by drinking it, but (B/N) didn't need one because I can't hit him. He got the skills of extra strength, faster speed, and a kill where he could make his sword stronger. It isn't fair! On top of that, I stink when it comes to swordplay which is why Father hates me behind some other's backs. Like Mother's and if I tell, he might punish me.

Teacher-That's it for the day boys. We will pick up on both lessons tomorrow.

He left me and my brother here alone. When he put his wooden sword over his shoulder he gave me a smug look.

(B/N)-You know, I have no idea why you bother to learn so much about adventurers. The only rank you'll get is a 'Z-rank'! When we grow up, you'll be lucky if we keep you around to scrub pots and pans! Loser! Hahahaha!

He walked away to leave me in the court and I saw a few guards walk by and do nothing to help me. Most of them changed how they treat me since our skills got reviled at the age of 5. I remember the stares when a lot of them learned that I was not good at swords and I never will be. I pulled up my magic screen again to look at my skills.

(Y/N)'s mind-Precise aiming, lightweight, and battle IQ... What strategy can I come up with when I suck at hand-to-hand combat, the sword, and stuck in a small stone space to fight on.

If only I had a bow... The weapon my father hates to see in this family.

(Y/N)-*Sniffle*.

I went over to sit by the fountain, looked in the water, and threw a rock at myself.

(Y/N)-*Sigh*.

I thought I would get some real practice in before others come and I won't be alone anymore. The results were always the same. The center of the center no matter where I stood as long as I was in range from how far I could shoot. It won't matter because my Father, brother, most of the staff, and other families will see me as a stain with these skills. On my next round of shooting, I jumped off a bench, did a spin in the air thanks to my lightweight skill, and hit the center of the center again. That's when I heard clapping and saw the head maid was here.

Chelsie-Well done, as usual, Young Master. ~

(Y/N)-Oh, hey Chelsie... Mind if I have a bit more time to myself?

Chelsie-Awwww. Was it your brother again? I thought the teacher was going to stop doing the fights with you. ~

(No POV)

Chelsie's mind-I'M GOING TO FOOD POISON THAT FUCKING BRAT!!! HOW DARE HE HURT MY TRUE PRECIOUS PRINCE!!!

((Y/N)'s POV)

(Y/N)-It's just one round now... I don't wanna talk about it.

I shot another arrow and the arrow I shot last time split in half. She only stood on the side of the court until I ran out of arrows, so she took me in for lunch. I don't like to go to meal times, even if Mother loves it when we are all together, but Father and (B/N) always make me hate it. I sat at the table in the maid's quarters with Chelsie.

Chelsie-Wait, right here. I'll be back with something yummy. ~

((B/N)'s POV)

Today we were celebrating my going into new topics for my private classes. We got SS-rank food this time and it was better than what (Y/N) could ever hope to have in his life. Not like a wimp like him deserves it if he could never slay a beast. I know I can cut the head off a dragon with my skills right now, but I just don't have a real sword... Yet. I looked to see Mother and Father enjoying the food too.

(B/N)-Father, when will I be able to get a real sword and conquer a dungeon?

Father-In time.

Mother-You are much too young, Dear... Where is your brother?

(B/N)-Maybe out playing with his bow.

Mother-He hardly ever eats with us. Honey, could you have a talk with him about it again?

Father-I will. Let's just eat and let our son train in peace.

More like giving him our scraps. I'll make sure he doesn't have any. He will not taste SS-rank food that we could rarely get and he never will get anything higher than B-rank and that's if he's really lucky.

(B/N)-*Snicker*.

((Y/N)'s POV)

Chelsie-Here you go, Master. ~

Chelsie put the food in front of me and it was SSS-rank food again which made me smile, but I wished she had stopped trying so hard just for me. I have SSS-rank food at least 8 times a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.

(Y/N)-Thank you, Chelsie, but is it really hard to make something like this every day just for me? Even A-rank food you make is amazing.

Chelsie-You're too kind, Master. And only the best for you. ~

(Y/N)-For the last time. We're alone. Just call me (Y/N).

Chelsie-*Squeals*! ~

I took my first bit and it already made me feel better. When I was about to drink my juice, but she stopped me. She checked it to show its status, but there was nothing wrong. Just B-rank, orange juice, and even had sugar on top of the class.

Chelsie-Oh dear, this will not do.

(Y/N)-What's wrong? It's fresh juice and I had the same kind this morning.

Chelsie-... The exact same kind? Check the stats of the juice.

I checked them and read them out to her. I even told her that Mr. Haws poured it himself.

Chelsie-Oh... I see. I will be right back with something better. ~

(Timeskip 3 Minutes)

(Chelsie's POV)

*SMASH*

*SLAM*

I held the chef that I found gave my prince that slug that only the rest of the family deserves. I had a knife up to his neck and showed him how furious I was!

Mr. Haws-Wh-What did I do?!

Chelsie-YOU GAVE MY LITTLE PRINCE THAT B-RANK CRAP?!?!?! DOES HE LOOK LIKE THE REST OF HIS FAMILY TO YOU?!?!?!

Mr. Haws-N-No!

Chelsie-SO YOU THINK HE DOESN'T DESERVE THE BEST WE CAN GIVE HIM?!?!?!

Mr. Haws-B-But it was just juice! I-Isn't he the bow and arrow prince though?! I didn't think it mattered that much! It was still fresh juice!

Chelsie-... 'What' did you just say about him?

Mr. Haws-I-I didn't mean to-!

Chelsie-You're fired.

Mr. Haws-W-Wait! I need this job! I still have a debt to worry abou-!

*SLASH*

I made sure his blood did not get on me, I dragged his body to the chute that leads to the garbage and threw a match down to have them burn. After that, I cleaned the trial of blood before I poured him a proper glass of juice that I made S-rank for him. Anything below A-rank can go to that brat and his parents for all I care.

(Timeskip To Dawn)

Master (Y/N) is hard at work with his bow and arrow as well as his studying. I even got to feed him as he studied which made me feel blessed by the gods. He also looked so adorable, but then I realized he was only reading one section over and over again. It was about an SS-rank adventurer who conquered a dungeon that was said to be there for... I'm not sure how long, but he saved a capital.

(Y/N)-Chelsie... Do you think I would be a good adventurer?... I would even settle for being a C-rank.

His awful Father and brother, along with his bimbo of a mother and staff make him feel worthless. It really makes me mad to the point that one time I almost slit the rest of the family's throats in their sleep... I cut the brother up a little though.

Chelsie-Master, you will be more than a C-rank. I promise. ~

He didn't believe me and even had a tear in his eye. His food was done, so I gave him a kiss before I left with his dishes. When I got to the kitchen I saw the chef getting ready with the plates on the cart for the rest of his family.

Chelsie-Excuse me, but which is the prince's plate on here?

Chef-Oh, the third one. The smallest amount of food.

I put my dishes in the sink and took the cart out myself. While nobody was around, I spat in the prince's food. I made it to the royal dining room and passed out the plates.

Chelsie-For dinner tonight, we have boar meet that was freshly hunted, seasoned with our own herbs, mashed potatoes, and grilled veggies.

(B/N)-What ranking is it?

I wanted to smash something into his face at the mere sound of his presence. He never asked that before, but wants to act smart somehow by asking this.

Chelsie-A-rank. Please enjoy. ~

While I passed out the food, I smiled at the brat who ate his food knowing that even if I didn't spit it in, his brother would have better food regardless. He only gets A-rank more than half the time when he eats with you people. I left to go get ready for bed, but I thought about how Master (Y/N) was even more troubled today... I'll just sleep and cuddle with him again tonight.

((Y/N)'s POV)

I got out of the bath to dry off and get dressed before I sat in bed while holding the book I was studying. All of these monsters were so fascinating and I remember killing a Dire wolf that was a D-Rank monster because I shot it in the eye from a hill after I saw it stalking someone. (B/N) is just stronger than me at training because even with a bow, he's just bigger and better than me... If only I could be good at what he does or have different skills, everyone would love me and Princess Grace's family would not be the worst to me in front of their daughter. She's one of the few nice people to me here.

(Y/N)'s mind-I need to do more! I want to be as good as (B/N) and prove I am strong enough to be in this family! But how?!

A few tears hit the cover of the book before I wiped them and opened it. On a random page, I saw something...

(Y/N)-The hands of time wait for nobody. Make your moments count now.

A hero had that written on their tombstone and I thought about it... It's only going to be the same here, but out there... Adventures, quests, fame, and all the things I dream of await me.

(Y/N)-... I'm going.

((D/N)'s POV)

Another good day and in a few days, my oldest son will be arranged to marry Princess Grace. A strong sword fighter that will be shaped into a leader paired with a Princess who is also a prodigy, but in water and ice magic. Meanwhile, for me, I am at the top of the with 3 beautiful women. If I want and did several times, I could fuck my wife, finger my captain of the guard, and toy with my slave all at once. Just then, my wife came into the room with the head of the guard.

Aurora-Calvin, Honey. You had that talk with our son, right?

Oh right... That. Mealtimes are more relaxing without that disappointment at the table, so I never did it.

Calvin-Of course I did. He's just working hard to improve his swordplay. Nothing to worry about.

Vita-But I went out to the fields during meal times and he was not there. Aurora was worried until I found him wandering in the halls. He seems isolated from you all.

Aurora-So we were thinking that it would be good for him to go out with you and Vita will act as a bodyguard for him.

Calvin-Absolutly not. Tomorrow is a private meeting with another head to talk about the marriage of our eldest son. It's important and I only need him to meet with the princess. Just stay here with (Y/N) and speak with him tomorrow.

Aurora-I feel like he doesn't take my words to heart, though.

I had enough of this, so I went up to her to gently hold her cheek and held Vita's hand.

Calvin-Hey, it's going to be ok. Everything will fall where they are supposed to be. It's all for the family and this kingdom that I do what I do. ~

Aurora-Well... Ok.

They felt better by my words and I pushed them farther until I got Vito to slowly strip away her armor before I went to the smaller room in her to get my slave to play with.

Celia-M-Master!

She looked happy to see me and I couldn't wait to turn her ass red while she loves and begs for it.

((B/N)'s POV)

I swung my sword around in my room to train some more while thinking how legendary of a hero I was going to be. I will have my name in stone and gold, Father said that I can have a harem of as many girls as I want, untold riches from dungeons, and I want the head of the strongest beast in the world mounted over my throne carved out from its bones. At best for (Y/N) I will keep him around to remind him how much of a weakling he is and die from jealousy. Tomorrow, I am even going to be arranged for marriage to Princess Grace when we grow up!

(B/N)'s mind-We'll even have a 'practice fight' tomorrow, so I can beat you in front of both families!

(Timeskip To Midnight)

((Y/N)'s POV)

I woke up from a nap after going to bed early and started to grab things I would need. Clothes, my bow and arrows, some food and water I took from the kitchen, my allowance money which is 10 gold coins, and the book to learn more as I am out. I looked around my room and felt nervous about this, but things were already not going to be better here. I need to do this now. I put down my letter explaining I left by my own choice and I will be a powerful adventurer when I come back home and you can all see me as useful.

(Y/N)-When I get better, I'll earn this... Promise.

I snuck out of my room and went down the hall where I saw two guards talking by the stairs. I need to get past them and I think a distraction would be the best way to do this.

(Y/N)'s mind-Sorry about this.

I went down the hallway a bit more before I made it to where I could release my arrow and break a window.

Guard#1-What was that?

Guard#2-Come on, let's check it out.

I ran as quietly as I could by copying a move that I saw our teacher do when he wanted me and (B/N) to try and steal from him as he walked around the garden one time... We failed, but he wanted us to know what it's like to fail which (B/N) did not like. I just practiced it more and thanks to the lightweight skill I have, I was quieter.

(Y/N)'s mind-This is so cool! It's like I'm a master spy!

I made it down the stairs and snuck down more hallways, causing more distractions or taking other routes before I finally made it outside the backdoor.

(Y/N)-*Chuckle* And nobody saw me.

Chelsie-Hello, Young Master. ~

(Y/N)-Ahhh!

I jumped and turned to see that Chelsie was out here. She already had a bag too and a small chest on her back.

Chelsie-Leaving this late at night, aren't we? ~

(Y/N)-... Ch-Chelsie, please! I need to do this! Father and (B/N) both hate me, others hate me too, and this is the only way I can-!

Chelsie-I'm not here to stop you. I'm coming with you. ~

(Y/N)-... Huh?

Chelsie-We can be a two-person party and I can still cook for you as well as use knives to carve out the meat of the monster we kill.

(Y/N)-Pardon me, but I was not clear the first time... Huh?

Chelsie-Well, I can't let my Young Master go out on his own, now can I? ~

(Y/N)-B-But I was taught about camping and stuff like how to set up a tent and hunt. You-.

She took out two long daggers and spun them around kind of fast and tossed them before catching them. She then showed me she could be an A-rank fighter with experience in other things.

Chelsie-I'm coming with you. ~

(Y/N)-... Yes, Ma'am.

We walked down the steps to the garden and left out the exit before I thought of something.

(Y/N)-Hey, how did you know I was leaving anyway?

Chelsie-Umm...

(No POV)

(Flashback Start)

Chelsie peeked through the hole down into (Y/N)'s room as he monologued his plan to leave and she squealed while kicking her feet in the air. She saw this as her chance for them to be alone, even if it was just for a short while before they returned.

Chelsie's mind-Just think! I could bathe you, feed you, hunt for you, tuck you in, and the best part would be that we would be forced to share a bed and snuggle every single night under the stores or in an inn!

She even thought they would be doing small quests at first like herb gathering for some money that get harder when they turn into monster hunters. He would see her as his savior and love her even more. All thanks to the hole in the ceiling, she would place people to where he was forced to come out of the back exit and she would be packed with fresh food in an item box, cooking wear and utensils in a cushioned chest, and some potions for healing.

Chelsie-You're finally going to be all mine! ~ *whisper yell*

(Flashback End)

Chelsie-A good maid always knows and is prepared.

They both walked down the fields into the forest to begin their adventure and left the castle behind.
