(Jessica's POV)

Miguel was spamming me about checking on Gwen, but rather than if he likes it or not, I got a baby to feed. Gwen isn't going anywhere since I picked her up on the radar in her room and not moving, so she must be taking a nap. I'm sure the kid is gone, but Miguel will know if I skip out on this. When I made it to Gwen's dorm room, I rang her doorbell and waited... before I pressed it again to hopefully wake her up. It worked because she opened the door and gave me the look of a teenager waking up like I opened the blinds to let the sunlight blare down on her.

Jessica-Morning, Sun Shine.

Gwen-What is it?

Jessica-I was sent to make sure you sent the kid home... He was sent home, right?

Gwen-Oh, um... yes.

Jessica-... That was a long wait for a 'yes'. Is he still here? That pass is sure to be out by now.

Gwen-I sent him home.

Jessica-Then I guess you wouldn't mind me coming in.

Gwen-Isn't there supposed to be a 24-hour warning for this stuff?

Jessica-Wrong society and it's an emergency. Move.

I pushed her aside a little and walked in to see Peni on her bed like they just had a sleepover and from the looks of this place, a movie marathon or something.

Peni-Kon'nichiwa, Jessica!

No sign of the boy from my report, yet. I just checked a few places where Spider-Men and Women like to hide stuff. Drawers were clear, vents were clear, outside the windows were clear, and that just left her closet and bathroom... Clear.

Gwen-I told you, I brought him home.

Jessica-Do you think I'm stupid from that long 'yes' answer you gave me?

Gwen-I know I'm still waking up after 2 days with hardly any sleep. Wasn't one of the perks scheduling, so we can focus on stuff like this?

Peni-I came over to help Gwen and we watched a few movies.

Jessica-*Sigh* 'If' he is still here, he won't get another pass and if I have to take him home myself, I will be using the Go Home Machine.

Gwen-Totally noted.

I took quick glances around while I left to see if anything seemed off, but there was nothing.

(Peni's POV)

I sighed in relief when Jessica left and thanked every universe for my Spidey-Sense to warn me that she was coming. I called my suit back to me and when it came through the window and opened, we saw (Y/N) was just barely awake.

(Y/N)-*Yawn* *groan*.

He tried to back to sleep after a wild ride like that and I didn't know to be proud that my suit still ran smoothly from a whole remodel or insulted because my first time swinging in my first suit made me super on edge and almost threw up. Gwen went up to him and took him out of my suit to bounce him in her arms.

Gwen-She's gonna be onto us.

Peni-There is going to be no other pass for him. I can't make another wristwatch before he starts glitching out.

(Y/N)-Glitching?

We were trying to think of something since I too didn't want to take him back to a world where he has nothing to go back to. That's when it hit me... Glitching... Should he have glitched a few times by now?

Peni-(Y/N)... Do you feel funny?

(Y/N)-No.

Peni-Any pain anywhere?... At all?

(Y/N)-I don't think so.

Peni-... Gwen put him down.

She did what I said and I got (Y/N) to move around and wake up more while testing something. His little band was out of juice or sure, but he wasn't glitching. I pointed this out to Gwen and both of them seemed confused... I took my wristband off and with that sudden jolt of change to my atoms, I glitched and I forgot how much that hurt. I put it back on and checked 9Y/N) that now seemed worried about me.

Gwen-How is he not glitching?

(Y/N)-I'm supposed to be doing that?!

Peni-No, no, no!... You're fine. See? No glitching.

(Gwen's POV)

I remember when I got to Mile's universe the first time and it didn't take me long to start glitching and that was a long week. He didn't even show one little glitch. A little boy with no superpowers at all vs everyone else in the multiverse. He was a science experiment, but his parents didn't record a damn thing about quantum physics, let alone test it on him. On the bright side, it looks like he doesn't need a pass for now at least. Maybe we can give him a costume to buy us time to figure something out.

Gwen-You wanna help me get him a convincing costume his size?

Peni-There's not a lot of spider kids with costumes his exact size that doesn't come from a store.

Gwen-Then we need to get out of here. I can't go back to my universe, so what about yours?

She looked almost as uncomfortable about going back home after her battle with her version of venom. Plus, the moment he gets there, he'll be detected as an anomaly the moment Miguel's AI checks on us. Peni went into her robot to do some work before she found something.

Peni-The suit repair shop should be on the lower floors. There should be a computer to make a suit his size. Just one problem... He will need to have his body scanned for measuring.

Gwen-How do we get him there undetected?

(Timeskip 5 Minutes)

They had me where the old bracelet again while Gwen had her mask on and held my hand and Peni was in her robot. I think I saw 8 other Spider-Men in the halls, but hundreds of them in some big lobby. This was so cool and scary at the same time because if I get caught, I'll be in big trouble.

(Jessica's POV)

Miguel was mad when I told him that I suspect that the kid might still be here and Gwen is hiding him, but furious when his AI confirmed it for us. Or at least sort of.

Miguel-What is going on?

Lyla-I'm not sure. I never saw this before... It could be someone from this world that just snuck in here.

Miguel-You think anyone can sneak into a building full of Spider-Men undetected? Not even counting you.

Lyla-I'm telling you, I don't know if this detection is an anomaly or just an intruder.

Jessica-Reguardless, it needs to be taken care of. I'll handle it.

Miguel-No. I'm going to handle this myself. You just go get the Go Home Machine ready... Lyla, tell me where Gwen is.

(Gwen's POV)

The repair station was just a few floors down and we just kept on walking to be as settled as possible. (Y/N) just clung to my leg and tried to whisper to m about just wanting to go home, so I rubbed his head to try and comfort him.

Gwen-*Shhhh* We're almost there and after, we'll leave this place. *whisper*

He must not be used to huge crowds, even to his favorite superhero... Given that they all look either a little or a lot different. We were just about to make it to the suit repair shop, but just then we saw it was closed and there were 4 annoyed Spider-Men in torn suits talking to a Spider-Cop.

Peni-Why is it closed?

Gwen-*Sigh* Merch in another universe it is. We'll visit his universe to get it.

I tried to open a portal, but it would not work for some reason. When I read the screen, I saw it was working just fine... I was just blocked. Suddenly, I was tapped on my shoulder and I turned to see Miguel.

Miguel-Hey Gwen.

Gwen-Miguel!

I tried to push (Y/N) behind me for whatever little that was worth, but it was too late because he has already seen him.

Miguel-Did you really believe I wouldn't find out about him?... And too, Peni?

Peni-Wait, we can explain!

Miguel-I'm sure you can. After we get the kid back to his world.

Gwen-Miguel, please! He has nothing to go back to in his world! His parents are in jail after experimenting on him!

Miguel-There is a time for us to step in and a time to let the police take over. He can't stay here. I bet he already glitched out a few times when his pass went out.

Gwen-That's the thing! He didn't!

Miguel-Sure.

Peni-No, really!

Just then a few other Spider-Men grabbed us and he knelt down to (Y/N) and I felt my heart racing faster and faster in rage from getting close to him.

Miguel-Alright kid, I bet you're just scared right now and wanna go home. Sound about right?

(Y/N) shrunk back a little, but nodded his head and Miguel motioned for (Y/N) to follow him. He listen to him and Peni and I were being held back and an emp was thrown that only stunned Peni's suit.

Gwen-(Y/N)!!! YOU CAN'T GO BACK!!! THERE IS NOTHING THERE!!!

Miguel-Calm down Gwen. I'm sure he'll be fine. We'll talk about this later.

((Y/N)'s POV)

I heard Peni and Gwen trying to follow us, but other Spider-Men kept them away and tried to calm them down while I followed this bigger Spider-Man. He looked scary for a Spider-Man. He took me to a place where I saw all kinds of Spider-Man villains and some of them looked weird.

Miguel-Don't worry. Even the toughest Rhino and Green Goblin don't have a chance at breaking those cells alone. You'll get home to your Spider-Man beating his versions of villains.

(Y/N)-Are... Are you going to help him?... Or someone else here?

Miguel-That's the idea of this place, kid.

We made it to a room and I saw a woman at the desk while she worked and she looked at Miguel when she saw us come in before she noticed me. I thought she was fat for a second, but then I realized she had a baby in her tummy.

(Y/N)-Y-Yes... What s-superhero are you?

???-Me? I'm Spider-Woman... Well, one of the many here. You already met Gwen.

(Y/N)-Oh... How do I get home?

Miguel-Just go stand over there and let the goober do its job.

(Y/N)-G-Goober?

???-It's a machine that sends you home.

(Y/N)-Is it gonna hurt?

???-Not at all, Sweetheart. Just relax. We're all the good guys here.

I guess if they were all like Spider-Man then they can't be evil, even with the villains locked up. I walked over to where they wanted me to stand, but then I saw a huge spider with lots of legs and eyes come out from the ceiling over a platform, so I ran back to the desk.

(Y/N)-Ahhhhh-! Oof!

I accidentally ran into Spider-Woman and the Spider was still hanging from the hole it came out of. She sighed before she picked me up to hold me and wiped my tears when I was starting to cry.

???-Hey, it's ok... Here, I'll do it with you. There's nothing to be afraid of. ~

She walked back over with me and got onto the platform under the spider, but I turned into her to not look at it.

(Jessica's POV)

I would be the first to admit that the Go Home Machine would be terrifying to a lot of children. His body shook like a leaf when he clung and whimpered into me. He did look cute like this, so I gave him a little peck on the head.

Jessica-It's already. The machine is not going to touch you. It's almost done... It already scanned you. ~

The web was almost done and when it closed he cried a little when the machine charged up and flashed. I plan to help him get to some family members before I leave, but there was a problem... We were still here. Miguel saw us still on the platform and I could see the shocked expression behind his mask.

Jessica-What the?

Miguel-Stay there. I'll double-check this thing.

(Timeskip 8 Attempts)

The last attempt was just (Y/N) on the platform this time, but the only thing the machine was doing was making him dizzy, and got sick on the floor, so I went to pick him up and clean him off.

Miguel-WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS STUPID THING?!?!?!

Jessica-It was working fine before you came... Try a villain.

We did what I suggested and the machine worked just fine, but for some reason, it wasn't working on (Y/N).

(Y/N)-*Whine*.

Jessica-Let's just get the universe from Gwen's recent travels.

Miguel-There is something else at play here!... Watch him. I'm gonna check a few things with Lyla.

So much for sending him home as soon as possible, but this was strange. (Y/N)'s crying became harder and louder before I tried to calm him down, but he was done with crowds of heroes and villains for the day. I took him to my little work room that naps in a lot now since the... incident in my universe. When we got there, I put (Y/N) on my bed and he looked at me with tear-stained eyes while still being a little dizzy.

Jessica-You poor thing. That machine did a number on you. Lay down and don't love. I'll be back with some medicine, water, and a bowl.

(Timeskip 10 Minutes)

I lied down with (Y/N) after that medicine made him sleepy and I saw him quickly fall asleep next to me. Poor baby must've been through hell and not even know half of it. Experimented on by his family, lost his home, and now Miguel wants to know what's up with him. All he is missing is Spider Powers to count this as an origin story.

Jessica-*Sigh*... I lost a home too, baby... I know it's hard.

I closed my eyes while looking at what must be his new day pass, but I have more in here in case he starts to glitch out.

(No POV)

The two slept together, but what Jessica failed to realize is that the Day Pass no longer worked. (Y/N) was still not glitching at all. In fact, there was something else happening to him and for a brief moment when he whined in his sleep... his face nuzzled into Jessica's chest making a tiny light glow inside of her and transfer into him before it faded when he calmed down.
