((Y/N)'s POV)

Autumn kept on nuzzling and rubbing her face against me while the big cage we were in was closed. I tried getting out, but all that would happen in more animals would just lead me back to the cage because some were fast and stronger than me. They gave me a small punishment which was just making me eat fruit given to me by a chimp while a few other animals and people watched. That was embarrassing, but nobody hurt me at all. I leaned back on Autumn a little more, but pushed back up in case I was too heavy since I didn't want to hurt her.

Autumn-Hey, it's ok sweetie. Go ahead and relax... I'm sure your mama will be back any moment and she just wants to make sure that you're happy, healthy, relaxed, and safe. ~

Her voice just sounds so pretty and smooth. I laid back into her to relax then she kissed my cheek a little. After a while, I saw Mika coming down the hall and I saw how surprised and happy she looked, looking at how a deer was taking care of me.

She came up to the cage and Autumn looked at Mika with a smile on her face.

Autumn-Oh, is this human yours? You must be Mika, I'm Autumn.

Mika-I'm just here to pick him up while they get my cage for him. Did he behave?

Autumn-He had a little hiccup today, but he's just so sweet and obedient. I take it you started his training a little before the big changes.

Mika-Actually, I adopted him from volunteering to help F.O.N. the day we took this town.

Autumn-And he's this tamed?... I want a sweetheart like him.

They kept on talking about me and it made me blush. Soon, a goat came over and pulled my cage with him then Mika and Autumn nudged me a little to lead me inside before they closed it.

Autumn-Bye (Y/N)... I'm going to miss such a sweet little thing like you. ~

I just hid my face a little which made them both laugh a little before Mike took the rope of the cage and started pulling it.

(Autumn's POV)

I watched the two leave and I know we have their address now, but I can't just go over to see him... I'M SO JEALOUS!!! I just went to go care for another human and a grown man crying caught my eye, so I tended to him. Just then I saw the boss walk by and even if he was a mouse, I still felt a little nervous.

Boss-Autumn.

Autumn-Yes sir?

Boss-I noticed you have been here a lot already in such a short time. I'm grateful for the help, but... Have you ever considered adopting a human? I heard a few others around here already told you the same thing.

Autumn-Um... I mean, it has crossed my mind, but... I'm not very good at picking.

Boss-Well, I do think some time away can help clear that. I know you care, but I don't want to take your new long life by coming here a lot.

Autumn-Am I being kicked out?

Boss-It's just for the day and I wanted it to wait until you were done with that child.

Autumn-But what about this grown male?

He whistled for someone then a panther came over to take my place, so I stood by the boss.

Boss-try and find a hobby or something, ok?

I slowly walked out of the building and into town with my head hung a little. I really do want a pet too, but I can't pick just one or one family... I can't even bring myself to the pet store to get a human. I decided to just go home and rest, but on the way, I heard something in an alley.

*CRASH*

???-*Sobbing* Aaaahhhh!

I ran down the alley and when I made it to the source of the crying, I saw a little girl without a collar or anything and she looked dirty. She just scraped her knee and it was bleeding kind of bad then I noticed her bruises through the holes of the jacket she had barely covering the top half of her body.

Autumn-*Gasp*!

(Mika's POV)

We were almost home and Christa is introducing (Y/N) to her baby Angel, but (Y/N) seemed to be mostly reserved right now. The animals there seemed nice, but I want to know from him and it's really hard even to get (Y/N) to say anything to me. By the time we made it, I stayed out with Christa a bit while she put her baby human down to open her door.

Christa-Hey when I get... 'Megan to come over for dinner', you should come over too. Lot of meat.

Mika-Sure. What's the first thing you're going to do with Angel?

Christa-Well after her bath, my baby needs his special little collar. ~

Mika-What's special about his collar?

Christa-It's like a plushie with a buckle on it. I just have to get his name stitched on the tag and maybe get it a tracker when I get a tablet later today... Bye (Y/N).

She went inside her home, so I brought (Y/N) inside with me then let him out of his cage. I thought about putting his cage in his room, but I think it would be a good time to put it out in the living room, so he'll either sleep out here in another room of his home or sleeps outside of a cage in his room. He looked nervous that he wasn't in his room then I nudged him out of his cage a little before I pulled out his bed. I brought it to his room and then tried to bring out a toy we both could play with together.

Mika-Sweetie, mind if we play together a little? After, I'll let you pick something to watch on the T.V., but we have to be together.

He looked like he thought of it before he did something that made me smile.

(Y/N)-... Ok... Can just roll the ball back and forth?

Mika-Of course.

I just rolled the ball over to him and he sat down before he rolled it back and played with the tag on his collar with his mittens while he played with me. After a bit, I pushed the ball a little faster and not to him to see if he would move to get the ball and he did a little dive without moving from his spot and landed on his belly. He still missed the ball, so he crawled to go get it and it looked adorable.

Mika's mind-So adorable and slowly getting used to being my pet... Maybe when I take him out for a walk, I can get him some ice cream for being so good.

(Christa's POV)

I just turned off the water in my sink then got Angel on a towel to carefully dry him off with ease thanks to these robotic hands. I even get a diaper on him, a onesie, and finally, I put him back in his carrier to take him to my room where his collar was waiting. I put him in his small rocking big and he still had plenty of room to move around a little, not like he was going anywhere. I went to my nightstand and grabbed his collar with my mouth before I went back to my baby and put it on him.

Christa-Don't you look adorable in your little collar. Yes, you do. We're also going to get a tag, so everyone can know your adorable name, mommy gave you. ~

Angel moved his hands a little and kept them in adorable little fists until I reached my paw at him then he grabbed one of my digits, but didn't have a grip... His little hand just felt so adorable that I just couldn't stand it, but the moment was ruined when he started to cry.

Christa-What's wrong? Are you hungry? ~

It didn't smell like he needed a change, so I went to get some formula made for him and tried to hurry, but I was still getting used to how these mechanical hands worked on this stand. When the bottle was done, I got the bottle with my teeth and rushed back to Angel, and gave him his bottle. It slipped my mind to put the bottle in the hands near his bed, but I guess this is more personal while I looked into his eyes as he drank his formula. I might do this often for bonding reasons and this made me think of the other outfits I got him that I just want to see him in, so when he finished I put down the bottle and went to the hands to pick him up and pat his back.

Christa-You were a hungry boy... After we're done burping you, how about we go get my tablet then come back home to play a little dress up and take pictures? I can show them to Mika and at the events, we go to together. ~

Angel-*Burp*.

Christa-I thought you might say yes. Let's go. ~

(Autumn's POV)

I was pacing around in the lobby of this hospital, waiting for news about that little girl I brought in that looked really hurt. On the way here in an ambulance she had 8 bruises, 4 scarps, 3 cuts, and her ankle was swollen, so she couldn't walk on it. When a squirrel in a small doctor's coat came out, I sped walk up to him.

Autumn-Is she ok?

Squirrel-Not seems to be life-threatening, so we caught her in time. We just had to sedate her for her own safety... We found her medical records here and it looks like both of her parents are still out there and both have criminal records, mainly for domestic violence, abuse, and were known to be drug users and alcoholics.

Autumn-Did they hurt her?!

Squirrel-It looks like it. Some of those bruises were from being squeezed too hard, so when we get a location out of here, my guess would be that they are put down and used for food if they can clean the meat.

Autumn-What about her? What's her name?

Squirrel-Makenzie and she's 6. After she makes her full recovery, she'll just be put up for adoption in a few days.

Such a poor little girl, given such terrible parents. Before we took over, nothing made me sicker than being told that some parents neglect or abuse their kids. It's one of the reasons I loved helping the good humans that were just scared from their old lives being ripped away from them after doing nothing wrong. Now, I'm picturing her being taken out of this hospital and put into a cage at a pet store with nobody truly loving her and giving her undivided attention. It'll only take her so much longer to open herself up since she's going through what she was probably scared of. The squirrel was about to leave, but...

Autumn-Wait!... C-Can I fill out adoption papers here?

(Timeskip 1 Hour)

After filling out the papers, I still had to wait for them to let me in to see her and I tried to argue that she was my pet now and that I should be able to go in and introduce myself. They were just treating her and when they finally let me in I followed the human a gorilla carrying a grown male doctor in one arm like a baby which was adorable, but I couldn't enjoy it. I got to the room and walked in first to see Makenzie dressed in new clothes and had a cast on her leg and she looked scared to see us and multiple animals going over to a scared human is one of the worst mistakes you can make.

She looked so clean and cute now that it shattered my heart to see her in tears. I just turned to the others just looking at us.

Autumn-C-Can you give us a little privacy? I think 2 animals and an adult of her kind is too much for her, right now.

Gorilla-I'm security. I'm just here to make sure nothing happens.

Autumn-What exactly? She's hurt, fragile, and sedated. I worked a lot at a human daycare. I can handle this.

Gorilla-... I'll be right outside this door.

I wish he didn't say that since she'll be thinking that he can walk in at any moment now. He left and I turned my attention to Makenzie then walked up to her at a nice and steady pace with a warm smile.

Autumn-Hi there young lady. My name is Autumn. What's your name? ~

Her lip only quivered as I got closer then flinched at every single touch I gave her. I noticed he hands and waist were strapped down with only a little wiggle room which must be adding to her fear that something bad might happen to her.

Autumn-Awwww, poor thing. You must be so scared... Here. ~

I took her pillow off her bed and then took its place, so she could rest on my side. I curled up around her and with her ear up against me, I know she could hear my heartbeat and other noises to soothe her. I snuck in a few kisses and nuzzles whenever she whimpered.

Makenzie-Y-You adopted me... A-Are y-y-you going to m-make me sleep outside a-and make me h-heavy lifting work u-until I can't move?

Autumn-What? No. Who gave you that idea?

Makenzie-M-My daddy... H-He even said that p-pets also get raped to h-have babies.

I never felt so disgusted that a father would dare say such a thing to his daughter. I curled up more around her after she started to cry again. What he said sounds like a class of enslavement for a breeding farm for humans. I do believe the strict bondage, constant stimulation, being blindfolded, gagged, and not given any control while breeders operated the machine to force them was very cruel, but they earned their place there. She did nothing to be given any kind of poor treatment, so I explained to her what her life will be like as my pet, but she didn't have any real reason to trust me, yet. When I was done, she lifted her blanket a little and I saw her left foot wrapped in bandages.

Autumn-What happened sweetie? ~

Makenzie-... *Whimper* *sobbing*.

She must've had a hard time out there with her horrible parents. I comforted her until she fell asleep, so I pressed a button to call in a nurse and when they came, I whispered what I found out so far and this will be used against her parents. Needless to say that I will not be taking them in, nor would I be allowed to. When she wakes up, I'm going to leave her here while I go get stuff for her in her new home like toys, more clothes, a bed, and some meat for her to eat.

Autumn's mind-Guess I did manage to pick out a pet... Maybe she can socialize at the daycare or I can find a group of pet owners to be around with... I need to get her used to me first.

(???'s POV)

I was getting ready to head out with a couple of F.O.N. members to help look for 2 abusive parents that just got reported. I left my home to go to where the hunting party is said to be and on the way, I got some food to hold me over in case this takes hours. I captured 10 humans and counting, but only 3 went up for adoption. It's mostly pieces of shit that live out there, or at least around her.

???'s mind-Alright, let's try and shoot for both and make it to 12 before the end of the month.
