(Vanilla's POV)

I had (Y/N) in my arms and was heading back to my home by hiking back to my village and cutting it short. He was happy to see me and even let me hold him while he told me what happened to him since we last met and the poor thing has been through a lot. I knew he went missing when Sally said he was taken by a bat woman now that I know is named Rouge before he found a nice plant woman around my height named Cosmo, then a bird named wave brought him to and saved him from Eggman before he later was where I found him in short. When I made it home I closed the blinds and locked the windows and doors since my daughter and Cheese were in her room. Ever since he went missing, she was just so distressed. I put him on the couch to rest and I will reheat some left over breakfast that my daughter and I didn't eat earlier before I give him a bath.

Vanilla's mind-The poor thing... He needs a mother now more than ever.~

((Y/N)'s POV)

Vanilla came back with a bowl of oatmeal and cinnamon apples then put me on her lap to feed me and I was just so hungry that when I finished, I asked for seconds, but she said that was it and I could have a snack later. Vanilla cleaned the bowl before she started to take me to the bathroom by carrying me, but just then a door opened and I saw Cream and Cheese looking kinda sad until they saw me.

Cream-*Gasp* (Y/N)!

Cream-Choa!

She ran up to us and stood on her toes to get closer to me until her mom bent down to bring me closer to her and she hugged me.

Cream-I'm so glad you're here! We heard about someone taking you!

(Y/N)-I-It was just-.

Vanilla-Cream honey, i'll tell you in a little bit, but right now I need to get (Y/N) in a bath.

Cream-I wanna help!

Vanilla-Not now, but after we're done, he'll have no clean clothes, so until he's gonna need to be under a blanket. How about we all watch a nice story time after his bath?

Her eyes lit up with excitement and I patted her head a little before she ran off and I took (Y/N) in the bathroom with me.

(Cream's POV)

I was getting a spot ready for me and (Y/N) to rest for story time when he comes out from his bath and I even got an extra blanket to be under to cuddle, but I just wish I could be able to scratch his back. He'll be wrapped in a blanket until his clothes are clean, but I think the back of his neck could work. When everything was quickly set up and a story was picked and everything, so I just got comfy with Cheese then started to wonder how much longer the bath was going to be.

(Vanilla's POV)

I was scrubbing (Y/N)'s back with a shower brush and was gentle, yet firm which I think he was enjoying have his backed scratched. He was trying to hide it, but was doing a bad job since it was hard to miss his little twitches, stretches, and noises coming from him. It was so adorable that even after I was done... I scratched his back a little myself and when I picked up the pace, his eyes were starting to roll up a little.

This lasted for about another 15 minutes before I noticed something was happening to his fingers and they were getting wrinkly. I don't know if that was good or bad, but I took him out immediately hen checked his hands.

Vanilla-Oh my, your hands! Do you feel ok?! I'm so sorry! I just-!

(Y/N)-I-I'm fine... My old nanny told me it just happens when your in water too long. They'll get better as they dry... Don't you get it too?

Vanilla-No... Let's just get you dried off then i'll go get something to wrap you in while I put you clothes in the wash.

The whole time I checked other parts of his body to make sure the water didn't do damage, but this kind of thing, if it does just get worse and worse as time goes on, it might be worth bringing it up to Sally or someone to use against Robotnik. I brushed it aside as I got one of my robes to keep his hands free and still covered up. After I put his clothes in the wash real quick I took him to the living room where my daughter was waiting and she even had a spot for her, Cream, and (Y/N) set up and a book picked out.

Vanilla-Well you certainly couldn't wait.

Cream-Yeah, I wanted his first story time to be the best one!

Vanilla-First one?

Cream-Yeah, the only books his old nanny at his old home would read him were learning books.

That certainly was good for education, but not much for bonding. I just set him in the bed my daughter made, and she hugged him from behind and the sight of this made my heart race. It was like I had to beautiful children and my emotions were so wild that I even had tears of happiness. Cheese sat on top on them and that set my heart over the edge to come down on them and smother them all in kisses.

Vanilla's mind-They just look so cute together!

When I had my fill I just got on my chair and started to read my daughter's favorite fairy tale I caught glimpses of my daughter playing with the back of (Y/N)'s hair and neck for most of the story. The reactions she got were almost like the ones I got in his bath then I almost lost my place in the book, but got back on track and enjoyed reading to... a new member of the family.

Vanilla's mind-He needs a proper mother that has a gentle touch anyway.

The others are nice, but they have so many things on their plate that they can't give him the love and attention he needs. By the time I finished the story I noticed Cream and Cheese were awake,... but (Y/N) was asleep from Cream scratching and playing with him the whole story and he just laid there and took it, so I guess he enjoyed it. I saw maybe it was a fine time for a nap after what he has been through, but I wanted to be a part of this too. I just put the book up and laid next to my children now and with (Y/N) in the middle of us, we all just adored him.

(Cream's POV)

My mommy was cuddling all of us now in the bed I made and even gave (Y/N) soft kisses while I rubbed his back and nuzzled my nose into him. I don't want to say anything to my mom, but I just want (Y/N) to sleep in my bed with me and pretend he is my brother...

Cream's mind-You know... Maybe we don't have to pretend we're brother and sister. He would be the cutest brother ever when I care for him with all the cuddles, and kisses, and scratches I can give him!~

(No POV)

It didn't take long for the pile of four to go to sleep to follow along (Y/N), but meanwhile outside, Jullie Su just got back to the village as Blaze and Sally went home after tireless searching and were practically ordered by Jullie to go home and rest and they can search again tomorrow. Amy was already home after searching the moment they lost (y/N) again after he ran off.

Jullie's mind-I get he's cute, but is it worth losing whole nights of sleep? Seriously, they could barely function.
