I think move along home has become the punching bag of DS9 fans because it so examplary of the show's early issues. It's not the worst DS9 episode I think, but the worst of its kind if that makes sense. The issue here is that it is silly and inconsequential and kind of annoying at times, which unfortunately every Star Trek show is now and then, but it's the most jarring in DS9 because that show is at it's best when it's the exact oposite.

After revisiting Move Along Home with this reaction; I don't think it changed my opinion on it being one of the weakest episodes, however it's cool to see you had a some different thoughts on it being someone who is watching it for the first time. I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts looking back at this episode after finishing the series to see if your opinion changes at all.
