The steady progress continues, now with an updated UI for territories, and a new background map that is steadily being improved and interated on! We're going to continue focusing on usability, UI, and generally making the game feel good to play for the next updates, trying to focus fire on making the game FUN before we start seriously working to import old story beats, but hopefully you'll see our steady progress in this regard as we move forward!

Additions

  • A colored and detailed map has been added! There’s a new ‘style’ button to toggle between the new map and the old simplified map for navigational ease.
    • Note: The map is still a work in progress and will see continual updates. Some map features may be simplified or missing while they are being worked on.

Changes

  • The Territory UI panel has been updated to simplify navigation by centralizing a number of related UI windows all involved with territory management. All territory related windows should be accessible from a singular location through ‘tabs’ on the top of the window itself.
  • Territory ‘connections’ which were previously invisible to the player have been made visible.

Fixes

  • A few tweaks have been made to map navigation, such as shrinking the screen-edge scroll area and modifying the default map scroll speed to be a bit slower.
  • Map navigation and scrolling was further tweaked and UI detection was added to stop it from scrolling while the mouse is over UI elements.
