Aren't they just the cutest? n_n Both faces are based on the amazing artwork of Bluezima I fell in love as soon as I saw his art style and it actually inspired me to go over ALL of the portraits again and rework them for consistency!

You'll notice that both faces and bodies have been given more detail and texture. It's always bothered me that the skin was so... basic. So I played around with light scattering and shading. The result? It's very subtle but if you look closely you'll notice it looks more scaly and more faithful to asari depictions in Mass Effect.

You may also have noticed that the number of faces hasn't increased. What happened?

Well... I may have ended up removing two faces as I added the new ones. Variant R that has been part of the mod for a very long time and Shiala added in the recent portrait rework.

The reason for that was because I wasn't able to make them compatible with the new, standardised artstyle. They just looked very out of place next to the rest of the reworked portraits.

Will they ever come back? I'm not sure, at the moment I'm leaning towards no. But if enough users want them back I could try to come up with something. We'll see.

Oh! And on a different note, Stellaris 1.8.2 is officially out which means the Modapocalypse is over! Hopefully never to come back n_n

Speaking of, I'll be back with some news on the Science Nexus soon! There may also be a little announcement regarding the Unannounced Project, so stay tuned! And in the meantime, have fun playing!   <3
