Interesting watching a scene where one person is petitioning for them to be able to fight with the rest shocked at the idea of sending kids back into war. Good way to show that for the most part they are certainly better than the Republic, but there's always going to be some complexities. I'm glad you got to see and liked the more serious moment from Frederica. She can be annoying sometimes, sure, but usually it's to make scenes like that really stand out and highlight the trauma and responsibility that's usually hidden by the kid side of her.

This was a good reaction. You answered one of my questions if you it's not that you just don't like bratty sounding kids. It all makes sense now lol. They definitely include those scenes of her to keep it real that she's physically still a kid. I know kids around her age that sound just as annoying but are actually immature. I could deal with her no props considering she can hold a conversation about serious stuff. She is essential material on a serious note though. Her connection to the origins of the Legion and the current mission of finding her Knight on top of having her cool past/future sight. She's pretty stacked so there are logical plot reasons for her being there.

I think these scenes with Frederica are kinda similar to that scene where the boys were trying to spy on the girls in Season 1 for comedic purposes. Both don't really contribute to the main plot but are "necessary" for the viewer to see the relationship between the characters. In the first case, i personally didnt like the scene because I find those type of jokes old and annoying and there's so many other ways to show the connection with the characters (which they DID, the spying scene is just one example). In this case, instead of "boys spying in girls" trope, it's the "annoying little sister" trope. But still, I think both serve as scenes to show "peaceful and silly" moments so when the serious shit happens it actually hits you. The problem is if you like the scenes or not which I completely understand if you don't lol (I personnally don't mind it too much but I can totally see how people can find Frederica fucking annoying) But yeah, Frederica is definitely relevant to the main plot, the "ghost" they are against now it's kind of the equivalent to what Rei was for Shin so yeah, we'll get there.

The tune that sound when the ligth scenes with Frederica is called "The last empress" from Kohta Yamamoto.
