As mentioned in the start of this video I am aware this is not really a music anime.
It DID win the vote which makes me feel weird so I am going to at least do a couple and see how we feel about it.  Pretty cool first episode tho as the premise is cool.  Terminator.

Vivy isn't a show about music, so much as it's a show that involves music. It's not the successor you were looking for, but I think as a show/story/production in general it'll be something you'd like (and that you'd end up missing if it were up against big name titles in other polls). For that, I hope you enjoy it! Loved the reaction so far :)

If you dont feel like its "music enough" can next replacement (for DN) be music instead and you keep watching Vivy? It's absolutely amazing and deserves a reaction spot!

Vivy is S-tier anime easily. It had an insanely stacked production crew including animation, writing, and sound.

Anything that is like Terminator, Ghost in the Shell, Ex Machina, or I, Robot has me on board. Might not be a music anime, but the storytelling so far is on point. Let's go. Also, the comment on 'what happens when you don't clap in time' almost put me to the floor laughing.

I think if you’re enjoying the show you may as well watch it through, it’s very well done (I’d say solid 8-9/10) and it’s only 13 episodes long.

Violet Evergarden isn’t a music anime but it has some of if not the best music in an anime… it’s also the most beautiful anime ever made and perhaps even the most beautiful animated work outside of anime lol. Might be worth checking that one out 👀

The interesting thing is..... music is a big part of the anime through the main character, but it's not the center of the story/main theme of the show. You could call it a pseudo music anime. That said, all the insert songs in this are BEAUTIFUL and awesome. Also, I've listened to the OST a few times, and some of the music actually reminds me a little of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
