Hybrid Specs And New Abilities For RETAIL WoW (Patreon)

With all the excitiement around the rune abilities and hybrid specializations of WoW Season Of Discovery comes a similar yet entirely unintentional exploit in WoW retail.

While this is a new exploit veteran patreons who have remember past expectations may remember early versions of a similar exploit which was fixed some time ago. This incarnation works currently and is affecting newer abilities and/or classes. 

Essentially the exploit comes from forced spec changes and seems to only affect classes with multiple specializations roles (eg tank/healer dps/tank not, say mages who only have dps specializations). 

Instructions:

1. Que for battleground as one specialization (eg unholy dk - a dps spec)

2. Before the que pops change specialization to a different role (eg blood death knight tank).

3. Your specialization will be switched back to your first choice when you enter the battleground (in this case unholy).

4. Use some ability you hope to be transferred to your secondary specialization. In our example we'll summon the unholy dk's permanent ghoul. 

5. Log-out.

6. Log back in

7. You will have switched automatically to the second specialization you change (in our example to blood dk)

8. Some abilities transfer between specs. In our example the blood dk will have a permanent ghoul - scaled up to a % of the blood dk's massive health pool.

You can complete or leave the battleground. Any glitched effects will remain and can be used in raids/dungeons etc.

There are a very large number of permutations for this method to test and I haven't covered them all yet. It is not only basic abilities that can be affect - specific talent choices can be transferred also. The ones I have discovered to far that are significant:

Unholy-Blood DK permanent ghoul.

Shadow-Holy Priest-shadowform in holy spec. 

Augumentation-Preservation  Evoker - attunement talents.
