Turn TW Badges Into Raw Gold Quickly (Patreon)

Currently the Timewalking Cataclysm event is active. 

This is a good way to make a fast 550+ raw gold per toon, possibly a lot more if you have many TW badges gathering dust.

The first time any character does a Timewalking dungeon the last boss will drop a "Smoldering Timewarped Ember". This can be turned into Kiatke who will be at the cataclysm portals in orgimmar or Stormwind respectively. She awards you 500 Timewarped badges.

These badges can be exchanged for gear and various toys.  The best item to exchange them for raw gold-making purposes is the "Decaying Herbalist's Robes", worth 26 gold 8 silver. This is a leather item and will only show up for classes which cannot wear leather if you change Kiatke's vendor settings from your class to "all". 

Kiatke's vendor items have a 2 hour refund period during which time refunding them will give you your Timewarped badges back. After this period you can return the items for gold. 

The simplest way to make gold is to buy the Decaying Herbalist's Robes repeatedly with your badges, wait two hours, then vendor them.  This is two hours in-game, logging-out pauses the countdown, so you will need spare bag space for a while.

A faster way to do this is to buy a low-level chest item off the auction house, then transmogrify this low-level item with the decaying robes you have just purchased. This will make the robes refundable for gold instantly. Then revert the appearance of the low-level item using transmog again, and repeat the whole process with each robe.

If you are a very patient person you may wish to hold your Timewarped badges for the new  Mists of Pandaria Timewalking Event on March 8. You will be able to exchange the badges for vendor items more valuable than those offered by Kiatke for the same price-also there will be pets available which generally sell well (though can take time to offload). 

Additionally, I am developing an exploit to do with the Mists of Pandaria farm. This will depend on acquring Tillers reputation which is normally quite slow, but based on the PTR, will be instantaneous with enough TW badges to buy rep. This will be quite lucrative, though at this moment I'm not sure exactly how lucrative.
