Pets And AFK Charm Farming (Patreon)

Newer players will probably know about this, but this has come as a surprise to older players like myself.

Previously, if you as a hunter or other pet user sent your pet to attack something, you would not receive loot from that mob unless you got at least one hit in.

This has changed. Now you can farm lovely charms totally passively.  

Consequently, BM hunter is a viable option for afk charming at max level, including the Tanaan jungle location I mentioned previously. The hourly rates were low for other specs, so you will need to complete the artifact quest for BM if you have a hunter devoted to another spec.

Note some players are reporting bans for charm farming. This seems to be due to excessive charms accumulated per hour rather than specifically for afk farming or botting.
