*The item, Elune's Candle, is available from Valadar Starsong in NightHaven (54,35) in Moonglade, only during the Lunar Festival.

The candle gives you 50 charges and allows you to throw a firework at something or somebody.

The item only costs 10 silver but it is unique equipped, meaning only one may be carried at a time. This means that for most of the year the supply of this item is very limited and it commonly fetches 10000+ gold later in the year on the auction house.

To work around the one per character restriction there is a simple trick, go down the walkway from Starsong and turn left-there is a mailbox right in front of you. Send the candle to an alt. Now you can purchase another. You can do as this as much as you like.

The candle's do not sell fast but when they do you get a very good return on investment when they do. I noticed the main problem with sale volume is that people do not know what the candles do: if you explain what they do on trade chat someone will generally buy one.

Do not sell the candles now: wait at least until the lunar festival ends. They become more valuable the longer you wait to sell them. Selling seasonal items out of season is one of the THE most profitable strategies you can use to make gold in wow-combine that with a dupe and you have a great combination.

* Older patreons will know I posted this trick originally some years back. We have had many new patreons in the last few years so I thought it would be appropriate to post this again even though I prefer to only post new content normally.

You can also Vendor the item if you have the mount thus, making it easier to mail to alts as u just mount up vendor and rebuy then mail it. Edit: clearer explanation if you have the vendor mount from dalaran you can.. buy Elune's Candle sell it to your mount untill all the buyback slots are full go to mailbox mail it to character rebuy from mount mail it to character repeat.
