9.2 Exploit Guide (Long, Provisional) Fast Gold-Making And Gearing From Phasing Glitches, Glitched Caches, Spellsteal Stacking Exploit (Patreon)
Content
This is a rough guide to exploits in 9.2. I may update it as more exploits are discovered.
1. Phasing Exploits
In World Of Warcraft patch 9.2 the new zone of Zereth Mortis is presented. Even more so than in previous patches Zereth Mortis is characterized by treasure-hunting: for this reason phasing/invincibility exploits are extremely useful and lucrative - more so than in any previous patch.
The easiest way to make gold:
The north of Zerith Mortis is mainly desert densely populated by hostile mobs and elites. It is not possible to kill these mobs efficiently at this time. Consequently supply of the lucrative materials in this zone is limited so any one who can bypass the mobs in the zone can make a lot of gold and/or get a massive advantage towards gearing. We can do this with phasing exploits.
Some examples of phasing exploits:-

I have verified this glitch works in Zereth Mortis - it is extremely lucrative for gathering and allows you to acquire cosmic flux at a ridiculous rate essentially just by running around opening chests other than the ones which require keys. Pet/minion users can tag rares through their pet and loot them.
Also, try:

Which has much the same effect except the mobs are removed altogether rather than pacified. (Edit: seems to be a nerf here, the ores and chests do not seem to be spawning now).
In addition to these approaches you can invite a player into any scenario with a secondary character and/or partner and escape combat instantly. This method will resurrect the player if dead.
(There are other more exotic methods in the archives for the curious).
2. Glitched Cache
Patreon Aqua writes:
- Hello, my friend! Thank you for your content. I wished to share one glitched cache/chest which is not working properly for me today.
- There is a Toccatian Cache in Zereth Mortis, by coordinates 52.46, 57.16, which I was able to loot 5 times in a row by using 2 point of energy from Pocopoc.
- I did it just now, and after 5 times in a row the Cache is still there. i know it's not much, but I got (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) Cyphers of the First Ones (valuta) practically within couple of minutes just by super simple riddle
- I will try to come backl to that Cache later again, when energy of Pocopoc is again up
- May be it glitched for me because I was clicking it too fast right after I looted it the first time? Not sure.
- Aqua Allegoria12:07 PM yep, the chest is still there. Also a local questfor opening a chest is same glitched by coordinates 65 41
- It doesn't give promised gold, but it gives the same value as the previous cache.
There is an addon for solving harder riddles, called "Zererh Mortis Puzzle Helper". It will not solve the tangled version (the easiest anyways), but will help on more complicated ones
I will send a link to video tutorial for this addon

Initially I thought this might be intended by Blizzard, however these two posts on the official bug report forums seemed to suggest otherwise and give support to Aqua's assertion of a glitch.

Either way, this is a very good way to grind infinite cyphers.
3. Terrain Exploits

- "You can get into unintended places in zerith morttis with door of shadows. (Archvaldor note: in fact you can use most reticle-based movement abilities)
- Aspirant’s Stretcher can push you inside a wall if you’re in said unintended place.
- You can get under the map of Zerith Morttis by doing such."
4. Spellsteal Stacking Glitch
Something fun for mages here: the mob "Mawsworn Striker":

has a buff which increases health and resistance to physical damage by 10%. This can be stolen from multiple mobs and stacked to make the player temporarily invulnerable to physical damage. Use of spellsteal it itself not an exploit, but when permitted stolen spells are not usually supposed to stack.
You can do some fun stuff with this for example-stack multiple buffs, and enter a battleground one minute and thirty seconds after the que pops, being immune to physical damage for the first encounter. You can also use it to do overpowered damage against elites with the Greater Pyroplast PVP talent, which is based on player health when attacking mobs with high HP.
Or you can just use the stacked spellsteal to grind mobs in the intended area, which is otherwise difficult for a squishy class to do efficiently.
