A patreon writes:

"Necrolord Druids, Adaptive Swarm (Necrolord Druid Class Ability) has a buggy interaction, if you put Adaptive Swarm on the Priest or Warlock and they die within its duration, there is a 50% chance that that you will get Shadowform or Demon Armor when they respawn. For some reason when it expires its supposed to jump to Foe OR Friend (Archvaldor note: this is because adapative swarm can damage foes or heal friendlies depending on who it is cast on). I think that when they respawn, the same server tick they cast their buffs and it bugs out with Adaptive Swarm so their buff jumps. If it goes to Foe it goes to Druid.

I think this is only possible during comp stomp brawl then, but you may be able to break it down deeper!"

This is one of the best pieces of reverse-engineering on this forum I've seen, which is saying something given how many intellectually brilliant patreons we have.

The 50% chance of making this work is down to the very small time interval involved in the transfer process-it is probably human judgement to time this so just keep trying as if it were an rng-based effect if it doesn't work at first.

So far as i can tell this exploit should work in normal bg's, but it would be much harder to pull off given the much greater difficulty involved in killing players versus a poorly-designed bot in the comp stomp brawl, and casting adapative swarm whilst an enemy player unwittingly casts the relevant spell in the small appropriate time frame. I am experimenting to see if I can get this to work in world pvp with co-operative players currently.
