The Brewmaster Monk has the Mastery ability "Elusive Brawler", which has the following property " Each time you are hit by a melee attack, or hit with Blackout Strike, you gain stacking 8.0% increased Dodge chance until your next successful Dodge ".

There is a simple strategy to exploit this:

1. Have some mobs with weak attacks behind the monk. Attacks from behind will always hit increasing your dodge chance.

2. Have the mob you want to kill in front of you. You should be completely immune to physical attacks from this mob.

Try the following experiment to see how this works: find a random quest mob in-world, Turn in the opposite direction from the mob's attacks. You will see your dodge chance very quickly exceed 100%.

There's a white hat version of this strategy which simply involves kiting trash to a raid boss which can be utilized very effectively by an expert brewmaster. This is very similar to the "Last Defender" strategy paladins have been using recently to gain insane damage and damage mitigation.

However, of more interest to the exploiter is the black hat version of this strategy. Here you need to smuggle weak mobs into a raid instance. For example you can summon trolls to attack you from behind using this method https://www.patreon.com/posts/22159035 (there are other similar exploits in the archives here).

The essence of this method is to have mobs that do little to no damage attacking from behind while a raid boss or other npc that is actually dangerous has its physical attacks neutered by your 100%+ dodge chance, effectively making them invulnerable to this school of damage.

In practice using this strategy can be a little more situational than in the simplified examples above-you need a mob that can actually hit you in the first place but one that does not do any damage. It may be more practical to settle for an increased dodge chance rather than technical invulnerability. However, it is relatively simply to gain a significant advantage from elusive brawler utilizing this technique in almost any situation where physical attacks from mob are an issue.
