Mage Portals For All Classes, And New Dalaran At Level 1 (Patreon)

I was watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGpetfW5C9U , which explains an ingenious but overly complex method to get to the Broken Isles at low-level. I noted from the video and the responses to it on the hidden wow reddit forum, that there seemed to be some confusion around the subject.

Judging by the number of portal requests you still get on trade chat, very few people seem to understand that literally any one can port their character gold-free and generally speaking in less time and with less hassle than trying to find a random mage willing to perform the service.

The most efficient way to do this is:

1) Create a class trial mage (assuming you don't have one already). Port out using hearthstone. Send the mage 500 gold so they can learn all portals from portal trainers.

2) Level a level 1 to 10 in order to use group finder. If the race doesn't matter roll  a human and farm Murlocs at the lake in Elwynn, it takes around quarter of an hour.

3) Use "Method Zero". This is a technique you'll see again and again in my videos because it is so useful, allowing the player to do what normally requires.

 Form a group using "group finder", sign up using the character you want to port and accept their invite-this can all be done by logging in and out on each term

4) Bring the characters to the same location. Cast portal using the mage, log out and in on the other character. The portal will persist after the mage has logged out and the other player can use it. 

This basic method can be used anywhere with any character, including to get level 1 characters to New Dalaran, though this requires a max level (technically 105) alt mage since that spell can't be learned up to that point and can't be done with a class trial.

There are a few other ways to get a low-level character to New Dalaran:

1) Conventional route-payment to a mage.

2) Use a CT warlock and a few friends (see Faeell Brightstar's suggestion in comments below). In theory it is possible to do it using your own characters using a complicated version of method zero, but there are several practical problems with it.

3) The method listed in the video at the start of the article. If you like exploration and enjoy this sort of complicated method it is fun, but it is rather time-consuming for certain races. 

Why would you do that with a level 10? The benefit of getting a low-level character access to New Dalaran's huge portal network is immense, it saves hours of time while levelling. The low-level player can bind their hearthstone to the Legerdemain Lounge for access to the network at any time without having to repeat the whole process.
