Back in April I published this hack:-https://www.patreon.com/posts/80-stamina-buff-8754186 where Blood DK's could gain a significant, arguably gamebreaking amount of HP in instanced PVP.

If you'd applied the method as I suggested it would have been worked but most of my speculations were way off and I added a lot of stages to the glitch which aren't necessary or helpful. I also wasn't certain if other classes could use it (they verifiably can). Due to a ban I wasn't able to trace the source of the glitch at the time but I've since levelled up enough characters with tank specs to analyze and reproduce the phenomena consistently for all tanking classes.

Here's how the glitch actually works.

1. Que as dps using any class which has a tank spec. Equp a weapon that can be used in tank spec.

2. Switch to tank spec whilst the preparation buff is active.

That's it. Despite what i said in the original post the gear isn't remotely important.

As a twink exploit this has no cost. For players at 98 or above there is a difficulty involved in switching artifact weapons, foregoing an artifact weapon has a signficant cost, though (at least in the case of dk's) the tradeoff may still be desirable.

(Do not switch weapons after you've changed spec, this causes HP to revert to its normal amount.)

This benefits ALL tanks but the results are very different and somewhat inexplicable.  Here's how the glitch affects each class I've tested:

90 Warrior Initial HP 358K - Glitched HP 369K

87 Death Knight Initial HP 65K  Glitched HP 105K (also see original post where 110 DK HP goes from 5 to 8M)

110 Monk  Initial HP 5575K  Glitched HP  6969K

104 Paladin  Initial HP 1654k  Glitched HP 1406k

The Blood DK is the clear winner here, though I'm not entirely sure what other factors are affecting the changes, so your results may not be identical.

Secondary stats are also affected to a minor and somewhat random extent (some actually deteriorate).

I've had a lot of fun with DK's using this glitch. You can be killed but it takes half the enemy team on you solo. Generally speaking, at least in PUG's you slow the enemy team down to a crawl making it easier for the rest of your team to complete game objectives. Also you can combine it with the very powerful technique I made public in this video: https://youtu.be/UmeyxK-4wBw?t=306

Note that this exploit is related to but not the same as the "Weapon Switch Glitch" which is a strictly temporary phenomenon and requires timing. The tank glitch persists through the whole bg.
