Hi Team

I just staked a big chunk of my SOL on Ledger

I also have some staked on Phantom.

I went with the Ledger by Figment validator - commission at 7% seemed reasonable and it was by far the biggest validator on Ledger.

I’ve had my Sol on phantom, been watching it slowing grow get 7.50% (leap frog) return, we’re I bought from $15 dollars back in 2021 all the way up to $180 then bought the way down, it’s nice to see myself, making a return, rather than it just sitting there, looking forward to the Sol train 🚂 chugging back to ATH again 💪🏻

I've been staking using the Phantom Wallet for a while, and not had a problem. I split it over a few different validators and try to find the best performing smaller ones, as I was told this helps with the decentralization. The ones I use are DimAn / Node Monkey / Blue Lotus / The Lode

Dear all is there a profound and trustful staking option with Metamask or is Ledger the recommended one, as I do have no Ledger. Anyone experiences with Marinade Liquide Staking?

I‘ve been staking to 10 different validators to help decentralization. You can use stakewiz.com which helps you decide trough a ranking system. Very helpful and you can also set alerts if the commission from one validators changes.

I’ve been staking via solflare using the ledger since Feb last year. Have to login on the browser to see balance though. Love seeing it grow faster and faster as it compounds

James, 7% rewards vs. 18% inflation? Coinmarketcap is showing a 70M increase in circulating supply (‘22 - ‘23. Which is an inflation number of +/- 18%. I checked it by using the waybackmachine.

James, I am using Exodus. Exodus utilizes Everstake for Solana staking. Is Everstake safe? It’s located in Kyiv. Would you avoid for that reason?

Not only do I need glasses for Ledger, try using it w long nails. It's this whole process...find glasses, file the claws, remove dog from lap, remember pin...

I believe in the project, but the inflation is way higher then mentioned by James . 70M tokens added in one year is a lot.

James, I'd love to see a video on staking ETH on ledger, your thoughts on if you feel it's safe. I was trying to get clarity if its the same as staking SOL where you keep your keys or if your coins are at risk. I am not willing to risk my coins for any % returns.

Right? ;) I think thry plot to make it tiny and difficult for people that are old enough to actually invest.

Wait until the new ledger stax arrives mini iphone you will be very happy

This is really helpful sir. Thanks.

I may actually consider staking again.

I’m also very interested in a better UI interface & experience. I’ve become fairly proficient using the Nano by simply forcing muscle memory but it’s a PAIN 🤙🏼

Thank you sir ✌️

MUCH gratitude James for this video! Question (for anyone): How long does it take for us to remove SOL from staking through Ledger and Figment?

Anonymous

huh. Just found this one.... I originally shied away from Ledger Staking due to the 7% hit. thanks for the info James.
