I wasn’t quite prepared for such a heavy examination of genocide this week. Choices were made and as always it seems like our humanity might be hanging in the balance. Why is this show so good?

Leaving aside the ethical abhorrence of genocide (Adama flat out telling Roslin that yes, he was 'passing the buck' and his refusal to investigate what happened even though it was transparently obvious who did it). It was a TERRIBLE plan that would never have worked. IF a physical virus was transmitted via download the information Athena pulled from the baseship would show the first thing it did was shut the ship down so fast the hybrid barely had time to send a short distress call, so they execute the prisoners (warcrime), the Resurrection Ship gets infected. Result, the ship goes offline in seconds and the Cylons blow it up to stop the virus. Even if it had successfully infected the Resurrection Ship and spread, it wouldn't have spread far because the whole point of the Resurrection ship is that they are too far from home to get home, So the Colonial's would have bought some breathing room until the rest of the Cylon fleet arrived turning over every pebble looking for them and the developing fractures between the models healed. Potentially exploitable fractures they should know about because of the information their CYLON officer got for them (risking a potentially lethal infection to do so.)

Leaving aside the simple fact you are successfully eviserating this shows plot armor (😅) what you're saying is our decision to commit geonicde would have failed and likely ENSURED the surviving cylons revert backto their original plan to do the same to us. Yea, not a great plan. Thanks for the comment!

Well, one thing I like about this show is that you are never sure who's got plot armour or if they wore it this morning. Plus it just annoys me when characters act against type. Roslins always thirsty for Cylon blood so true to form but Adama should have been smarter (although he reverts back to the Adama we know and are scared of at the end)
