Rewatching this was the BEST thing I could do before going full blown into spooky season. I hadn't seen this since I was a kid and while there were certainly parts I remembered, there was some HUGE stuff that went over my head as a child. This film is so much better than I understood it to be.

The book is sooooooook much better. It all told though ETs eyes and thoughts. The movie couldn’t do not justice. As a kid this movie scared the crap out of me for some reason. Watched it a few times recently and could t watch though it. May give it a try with your reaction

Oh wait there’s a book? I had no clue! The film must have scared me as a kid too. I completely blocked out part of the movie 🤣 I mostly remembered the ending scene and the frogs.
