I absolutely loved this movie! I'm not sure why I connected with it so strongly, but I laughed, cried, and was rooting for those crazy sisters the whole time!

My sister and I loved this when it came out (we were kids). Took us years to finally get the joke "avoid the clap."
Didn't vote for it, but I quite look forward to rewatching it with ya, once the edit is out!

Haha that joke caught me off guard. I did include the edit in this post, but you can feel free to wait if you’d like :)

My reaction to your reaction was yelling at you to not talk over some of the funnier lines. I think you may be the first person I have known to not find Jon Lovitz hysterically funny as the extremely curmudgeonly ball scout forced, like Jimmy, to scout girls. His line telling the cow to shut up and asking why the chickens don't have leashes were big laughs in the theatre. This and Big (also highly recommend) are director Penny Marshall's biggest hits. I'm sure you do but If you don't know about her she is the sister of the great Gary Marshall, who plays Mr. Harvey in this, but is a legendary tv/movie producer, writer, actor and director with a massive list of hits including Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries, Overboard and Beaches to name a few of his movies. TV includes - The Odd Couple, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley and Mork and Mindy again to name a few. Penny started as a comedic actress and became a star on Laverne and Shirley. As always, enjoy your reactions and look forward to the next!

Can we negotiate with studios to put up warning signs when the best lines are coming? 😅 haha my bad. I guess I don’t connect with that kind of humor. I’ve never really found Jon Lovitz funny or a*hole characters amusing. Glad you enjoyed it! I had no idea Penny Marshall was from Laverne and Shirley haha. My sister watched that show as a kid, but I never saw it.
