This was unexpectedly weird, yet beautiful and satisfying! I definitely left this film feeling inspired.

Well, that was awesome! Thanks for directing me over here to view this. I see there's tons of reactions on here I'll need to explore my way through. Did you know James Stewart was originally casted as "Moonlight Graham"? And Tom Hanks was offered the role of "Ray", but turned it down. I see someone else mentioned "Bull Durham", but "For Love of the Game" is also another really good Coster-baseball film.

Oh wow! I'm so glad you made the journey. Hopefully, you find the tags easy of enough to help you navigate around and find what you're looking for. I wonder how the film or James Stewart's career might have been different had he kept the role. I'm Glad Tom Hanks turned it down as I'm not sure if he would have done a league of their own otherwise.

This movie is *so* weirdly beautiful, I had to look up the director. He barely did anything in film, ever (made Sneakers, tho, which is razor sharp and brilliantly funny!)
Must be a story there. Anyone know?

It’s strange to me when directors made such an iconic film as this and little else. There has to be a story.
