Hey all! Sorry for the long bout of silence, Ding Dong and I have been working on something we can't show off at the moment! Updates will come on this secret project as it develops, but in the meantime, let's show off some of what I've already been doing for Tough Bippy! For this game I've been animating in Flash, and Ding Dong has been cleaning up these animations and converting them into pixel art as you might have seen on one of his creative streams. It's been a lot of fun to compose these animations so they flow into each other in game, which I also look forward to showing off! We're finally getting to conceptualizing some of the game's enemies too, Ding Dong is adamant on finalizing the game's system before we work on any other designs for it which is why so little of the project is in visual form yet. I wonder if I can persuade him to talk about some of his code sometime!

Hearing some programming talk from DD would be really neat. I'm curious about any problems around collision or player controlling that came about and how they were solved. I find that people find their own solutions when the built-in engine starts becoming an obstacle (eg. Unity2D is the bane of my existence).
