Won't spoil anything for any first timers but this one was.. yeah

Can't believe how good this show is getting and if I was a kid watching this my god I would be obsessed lol. I would have a full cosplay on everyday trying to fly like Aang

Just a note that on Netflix episode 12 is two episodes (12+13) and the finale Netflix episode 18 is also two episodes (19+20). They have the title screen in between each episode so will be obvious for you. You gotta tell us what you were running around as a kid as 😂 Seb is secretly the owl and finally got Momo into his collection lol. The owl did seem pretty scary, though didn't really pose much danger in the end. I forgot Appa got taken 😭

Just an fyi, there are only 4 elements, Fire, water, air and earth. But each element has "sub bending styles". For water it's healing ability, for fire it's lightning generation and redirection, etc.. Not every water bender can be able to have the ability to heal, just like how not every fire bender can generate and/or redirect lightning, etc.. And sand bending is another style of earth bending.

I think you missed it Seb but when the owl said "humans only bother learning things to get the edge on other humans, like that firebender who came to this place a few years ago looking to destroy his enemy", that was Zhao the Conqueror/Moonslayer from last season. Remember when they raided the North Pole and Zhao said he had discovered a hidden library while working in the Earth Kingdom and learned the identity of the "ocean and moon" spirits' mortal form. ATLA really does an amazing job at referencing back to these little nuggets they throw in all over the show.

Sand is basically tiny pieces of rock, so sand IS earth. Sandbending is the same idea as firebenders bending lightning or waterbenders bending ice or the water in the vines like the swamp people. So yes Toph can sandbend because she's an earthbender.

Sand bending is a sub category of earth bending. Kind of how the swamp benders were just water benders who used the murky swamp to their advantage.

Yep Toph can "earthbend sand" but it requires another mastering technique and because of its "fuzziness" and her blindness, it's difficult to her, so she never learned it the proper way... What she did with the sand to get a better stand while trying to stop the library from sinking, was hardening/compressing it to make a more solid ground.

Yeah man you saying its just getting better and better you're absolutely right..!!!!! These next 10 eps which is the other half the season are crazy good. 💯 the story will get more better and serious! Oh can't wait for next weekend. Some epic eps!

As Jakmar said, sand bending is a sub element. In avatar there are these sub elements of the 4 elements. Ice is a sub bending of water, lighting is a sub bending of fire, and sand is a sub element of earth. There are also a lot more sub elements like steam, plant (bending water in plants like the swamp benders), lava bending and a group more that i wont say for spoiler reasons

i've been trying to figure out why i'm enjoying your reactions so much. While I watch alot of atla reactors, only a select few stand out and really connect. i just realized, its your laugh. its infectious! i really appreciate your willingness to tap into childish humor!!! not every joke has be so deep, and atla is often just plain silly!

Unlike Lightning, Sandbending is just something Earthbenders can do. For the Sandbenders, it's basically their brand. That's the only difference.
