Oh boy, I did a shell swap with my OG DS last year and yeah, as you describe in the video, the quality of the replacement housing really isn't up to snuff. I know have to open it in a specific way by grabbing the hindge since otherwise it won't open at all. I'm curious to see if people do find a better quality housing because I would be willing to go through it all again, just to change it out.
