Snapshot Saturday - August 26 (Patreon)

Hey there Patrons! 

So obviously this week's snapshot isn't going to be anywhere near as chunky as last weeks, as that was 3 weeks worth of content, whereas this is just a single week! That said, still have a couple good things to showcase, so lets get into it!

The main goal since getting back from the vacations has been to jump right back into commissions and make up the lost ground over the past few weeks, and while I did get one finished, annoyingly I didn't get as much time to work on things as I would've liked this week due to a number of circumstances. Still, something is better than nothing! And I'm extremely happy with how Zed's (aka Beef-Supreme) piece featuring Neon came out! Neon was one of my favorites of the adoptables I made back in summer of last year, and I was extremely happy to get to draw her again, and this time even bigger than last time! Hopefully I'll get to draw her again soon!

The other two commissions worked on were another Riptide commission, this one for VioletNeon, who has an absolutely adorable shark character, and I'm very excited to finish this piece! And yet another one opting for Riptide Blue. It's clearly one of the more popular flavors! The other one is a pinup for Levy, a big snake, flexing and ripping out of her tank-top! I was really happy with that pose for that piece, and I'm happy that the client picked that one of all the thumbnails I gave them!

There's not a lot to say for the warmup sketches, as these were way more of a warmup than I usually do, which is to say that they were very fast, rough, and not really used to make a complete or polished picture. That said, I might come back to some of these later. Notably, the sketches of Cali at the bottom are tied to a story beat I want to explore where she's experiencing some uncontrollable growth. The flame princess guardian is loosely tied to the same setting of Titania and Luné, the giant defender and giant princess of the kingdom of Gladius. This new character I have tentatively slated as a princess of an allied kingdom, hopefully I'll have more on that setting soon!

And then of course we have another sketch of Salvia, which, if you've seen recent activity on Twitter, shouldn't come as a surprise. It shouldn't be secret at this point that I've been a fan of the character for a long long time, and following the commission I did for her, there's been a lot of back and forth of ideas and inspiration, and while this wasn't going to be a finished piece, I wanted to at least draw SOMETHING to celebrate her new kaiju form! If time allows I might give it some more love or maybe do more pics of Kaiju Sal. Such a fun character!

And that'll wrap it up for this week's snapshot! Going to be jumping right back into art after this, and hopefully going to get a lot of work done tomorrow as well.
