Hello there Patrons!

You know what time it is, so lets get right into it!

So this was another week where it felt like I didn't do much, despite there being a good number of sketches and commission progress, and I think I'm starting to figure out why I'm feeling like that. Long and short of it is I have a lot of projects "in progress" and despite the work I did this week, none of those pieces were completed. The past couple of weeks I've been able to, with some consistency (obviously barring a couple exceptions), get at least one picture done per week, sometimes more. So when weeks like this roll around where I don't have at least one pic completed, even though multiple pictures are VERY close to being done, it doesn't feel as satisfying. Hopefully that'll be something I can address moving forward! But enough on that, lets get into the actual pictures!

So a lot of work was spent on commissions, notably inking Sampomon's piece. I'm also using this piece as a kind of experiment with regards to brushes. More specifically, I'm inking this piece with my old brush that I used to use, and I'm noticing that the cleaner line quality and brush strokes cause me to be much more strict with my linework. While this *can* get a better quality product, the amount of time that I wind up sinking into the project because of it isn't worth the trade off, unless it's going to be a piece that's going to be printed or displayed in high resolution or something, but even then. The reason being is that I have a bad habit of being a perfectionist on smaller details, and this brush is really conducive to triggering those habits. So I think this is going to be the last commissioned piece that uses this brush for inking unless it's specifically requested in the future, just because I want to be better about getting art done in a more timely manner, and it's just not happening when I use this brush.

Additional commission work was done for a number of pieces, notable getting the first thumbnails for concepts for a couple pieces; a summer themed pic of Neon, one of the adoptable kobolds I made last year that was bought by Beef Supreme; a custom kobold design for CJR; and a large macro themed illustration for Dragonkiller21, separate from the other commission they have that's also macro themed! Overall I'm quite happy with how the thumbnails came out, and I'm glad I got to practice more environments for the sketches as well! I definitely want to get better with environments and a lot of pieces lately have been giving me plenty of avenues for practice, which is great!

Next, we've got the next Retrospring drawing, which is once again revolving around Abby! I'll keep the specifics secret for now, but this answers a question multiple people asked, and was a good excuse to practice different body types in the same picture!

Finally, we have a couple of rough sketches I did as warmups over the week, including a new bottom-heavy (in EVERY way) kobold who has the working name of Spike. She's gonna be a big soft-dom punk friend type, with a preposterously huge dick because reasons. Also I think I was still channeling some of the BIG PANT BIG JAKT energy for this one! Then we have Erika, a character that I didn't actually think about being a character when I drew the first pic on the left, but I loved the vibe I was getting from her, so I did some additional warmup sketches the next few days to flesh her out a bit more, and actually managed to make a character that bridges a lot of gaps in some of my other character's lore and connections (for example, I hadn't ever figured out how Abby got to know the main cast, but Erika solved that problem). I'll probably be sketching her more next week as well, so hopefully you enjoy her!

Alright, that was a bit wordy, but I guess I had a lot to say! I'll go ahead and wrap things up here though! As always, thank you all so much for your support, and I hope you have an awesome rest of the weekend, and that this week goes well for you!
