Snapshot Sunday - April 21 (Patreon)

Hey there Patrons! Hope your weekend was a good one! I've got another somewhat late in the evening post this week, though for good reason, as this weekend the housemates and myself got some much needed spring cleaning done. We've still got a lot to do in that regard, but the progress we made was still hugely impactful (we have SO much more garage space now!)

Anyway, onto the art! This week's big ticket item is the completion of Curious Garchomp's commission of their character Diathena! This piece took the lion's share of time spent on art this week, unsurprisingly, but I'm very happy with the end results! Especially with how her armor and outfit came out. I'm really enjoying doing lighting work these days, as the last couple pieces that I've been able to do the full on painted lighting for have been great practice for a variety of different surface types (glossy, metallic, etc.), and they've been so much fun to work on!

From there we've got the first set of alternate versions of the Musclegirl Fanart pics (Well, second if you include the previous alts for Toriel), and I felt like Zeezi was the obvious choice to start on given her picture had that extra bit of flare to start! So enjoy the big dino meat! I'm actually really thankful that the alternate versions won the previous Patreon vote, since I can knock those out pretty easily with my current workload being what it is.

On the topic of workloads, with Curious Garchomp's pic taking up most of the time, I only managed to get some more initial sketches for another commission. This one is for Tilly of her muscular bunny gal, which is a character I've been looking forward to having the opportunity to draw for a while now, so I'm excited to get to work on this one!

From there we've got a small handful of warm-up sketches. Most of them are some more of the recent practice prompts I've been going with, practicing different body types, and a new character concept I had an idea for earlier in the week. Her working name is Biggs, but to quickly summarize, she's a big kobold (Shocking I know!) who causes others to grow simply by being in proximity to them. She's very friendly and social, and the growth only becomes permanent after prolonged exposure. Her growth is also more effective on friends and dragons (Because she's a kobold, so of course)! I'm still deciding on if she herself is constantly growing as well or if she'll just have the ability to change her size.

But that's something to muse on for another day. For next week, the plan is to get at least one more alternate version done for the muscle girl pics (probably Michiru), more progress on the Macro March reward pics, and then more commissions. I'm going to probably focus on the smaller ones that I can get done more quickly and try and knock out at least a couple of those. But that's all subject to change depending on how feedback does or doesn't impact the workflow.
