Since the first scenes came across where the ladies you encounter use specific skills on you, I started to implement them. It is nothing too fancy, but the skill that is used on you gets shown in the lower right and the screen gets tinted as you can see above. Nothing too fancy, handled with an overlay.

There will be quite a lot of skills and perks the different mistresses that you will encounter have in their arsenal. If you have a skill for the ladies in mind that you think should be in the game, let me know in the comments, as always.

Right now in the intro you will encounter the dominating aura as you see above, voodoo and vampirism (most of the skills are inspired by different pen and paper rulebooks like call of cthulhu pnp but mostly vampire the masquerade...and of course some unique femdom and futanari ones that i came up with myself). these skills come with certain effects, like with dominating aura you cannot talk back for example. Just small things but I think it adds a lot of flavour to the game.

The main character has his own skills of course. But since the last character skills and perks that I designed with captured by dark elves wasn't that popular, I will choose a slightly different path this time, so that you no longer have to worry about if you have the right skills to please a woman. Instead some big perks will unlock additional scenes (like a witchcraft skill that you can learn might let you summon demons) or add flavour to existing scenes, some will help you improve ingame stats (like in femdom city where you get an additional energy point once you completed the path of kink).

It might also be the case that you will have to learn each skill from a teacher instead of just selecting it from a menu. I am not sure about that. I will have some time to think about it because in the intro episode you won't be able to level up your skills anyway and you can get to level 2 at max, so we have some time to decide on that. Let me know what you think.


I only have 6 scenes left to implement, plus the MC perks and the inventory. So we are getting close!

Do you have a release date or, just an idea of when you will be able to release it?

I am trying to release it this month, but as I learn things on the fly right now with the new game engine it is hard to predict. really depends on how smooth the implementations go, especially the inventory which i haven't touched, yet

Sounds really neat! Are you planning on having those skills be always 'active', or would the player be able to circumvent them in some way through items or their own abilities?

Looks really good again! About the skills and perks, how about "(sexual) mind reading", "recognizing what would humiliate MC the most" practically so "mind reading". Or also "being able to administer small electric shocks", maybe as a Perk "Electrifying". For MC would be interesting Perks like: "pleasing" or "satisfying" which determine if a Mistress (female/futa) can be orally brought to orgasm or not. Or "anal", whether MC can also experience hard anal sex without pain. But also simple not fetish centered skill would be conceivable, but I think you probably already have them in mind. Things like "Attentive" or "Mindful" or "Accurate". Which can have an effect on many things. I guess stuff that was already in Femdom City like "Foot Slave" or "Maid" or "Pain Whore" I don't have to mention.

they are not always active and yes, i plan that the mc can counteract some of the mistresses skills with his own perks or or items like for example an amulet. but i still haven't really worked on the inventory so not 100% sure that this is going to work ingame

the perks for the MC that you mention sound pretty similar to what the captured by dark elves skill system was like. the feedback on this one wasn't always positive. people always wanted to please the mistresses in the scenes and got upset if you had to choose between skills and could not please everybody

I think a somewhat simple (in theory) fix to that problem could be to allow the player to somehow grind for those points, at least for the pleasure-oriented ones. The "problem" from captured by dark elves that I seemed to remember is that heals were limited before having to continue the story, forcing the player to miss things. Adding some way to allow the player to increase specific pleasure skills without forcing the story to progress, or allowing them to backtrack to catch scenes that they may not have been able to see when they first passed by could circumvent that issue, i think.

I think rewarding the MC for having a particular skill, rather than punishing them (i.e. failing to please a mistress) would go over better. You could have it, where if an MC has a particular skill, the scene is continued with a particularly impressed dialogue and more images. You could also have some skills affect puzzles, i.e. instead of having to search for a key you can simply pick the lock or seduce the guard or climb over without a rope etc..

yes, true. i had something similar in mind, although i am not sure if it fixes the problem because people seem to always want the best possible outcome. and if the skill gives additional images, i think it is even more valuable than just having satisfied the mistress

the problem is that this is a visual novel. so 'grinding' won't really be in the game. you get exp by uncovering mysteries, finding clues and following the story. so at some point in time the story has to progress...just like in cbde or the asylum

Are you still thinking about a three platform release with your new game engine? (Windows/Mac/Linux) If so I can work on testing the Mac/Linux versions and leave most of the Windows play to the majority of users.

yes, still thinking about 4 (android as well). haven't tested it, though ... porting is the last step

I understand, very good point! This will probably be a trickier task, since balance is also required here in the game design. Or you can keep things very simple. On the other side. This of course creates the potentila for a second play throught.

Learning skills from others (via femdom scenes of course) is a way to go imho.
