Video Improvement ( WebM compression! +Slight delay) (Patreon)

Guys, this is a short update, I am still hoping to deliver the Shadow over Blackmore in april, but it might very well be on the last day. The reason is a good one, an awesome one! One of the best improvements that I made.

I have the Full Adobe licence now. So far I only used photoshop and as you know I used repeating pictures instead of videos so adobe premiere wasn't a thing in my cosmos. for the few videos that I made I used sony vegas.

A friend of mine showed me how to really use adobe premiere on tuesday! And it will change how I approach making scenes in the future!

He recommended a Webm plugin to me. Renpy can play these videos, I have already checked that. Mobile ports should as well! The clue is: My videos are now below 800 kb some go as low as 300kb! I don't even know how a one to two second video that plays like 16 pictures AND sound is smaller than a normal picture...

But it is. I am so pumped and excited about it, because that means in the future I can do multiple videos for one scene. I also think PoV scenes will have a comeback because of this (not in every scene, but for things like blowjobs etc...why not? It is only 300kb and a bit of extra work!), we can also think about different camera angles, because with that small file size you can easily switch between the videos without having to worry about memory leak, cache problems and such (like you have in femdom city).

I mean, be honest. Even if you have 0 clue about file sizes and such...but such a high quality video with sound for 300kb? You can go ahead and download the preview picture shown above (the neat bondage orgy scene), and check the file size for comparison (ok, that one is uncompressed, but still, that file is like 7x bigger!).

I already re-rendered all game scenes so that they have the similar look and the smaller file size!

Even older laptops and desktops should be easily able to play the game. I cannot promise it, but maybe older phones can run the game now. This is huge! It's such a win for people who want to enjoy the game in its full beauty but have an old pc!

Sorry for the nerd talk about file size that might be uninteresting for some, but it will really benefit you guys in the long run. Constantly learning, constantly improving :)

So, yes. Huge quality improvement for sure. Fingers crossed for the April release, but even if not, it will come shortly after. The release is near, be patient and it will turn out to be great :)
