Here is the finished cover art for now. I love it. You might say: Hey, that's quite a lot of people you got on there, maybe a bit less would have been better for the cover.

And I say: Hell no! It was already so hard to select them. Lots of people that I wanted to have on the cover as well are not on there.

(like my reincarnation of Druuna :)

All the renders? All the renders!

I have now finally completed all the renders including the dream sequence. I took a bit of a different approach...I think you will like what I came up with, if you like a bit of mystery :) ...and mermaids.

so, now we come to the part that I am a bit afraid of. The game mechanics. Inventory, skill system, dialog and all that good stuff. I will start with this now. I have the basics already set up...but so far I avoided the difficult parts.

This might take longer than expected, because I have decided to go step by step. That means I start looking for a whipping sound when I implement the whipping scene. I start looking for fitting XXX music when I implement the first XXX scene. 

But first of all the inventory has to be made. I decided to go the simple route for now. Meaning there will be no "inventory management". Instead you can go to your inventory and see what you currently have. And you can interact with the items...like eating food that you found for example. Simple stuff. You won't be able to move your objects around, though. At least not at the start. I don't think this is necessary for a good gameplay experience anyway, but you can tell me if I am wrong about that.

We will talk a bit more in depth about the mechanics and what I have planned next week.

oh, they don't all live in the mansion you see on the cover ;). blackmore is a small town, not a mansion :)

Yeaaaah! I'm so excited! This looks goooood! On the point of inventory management (the ability to move items around in the available inventory slots), I agree that it's not necessary for a game that doesn't focus on that, but, if it's not a big fuss to implement, I do think it's worthwhile to do so. Personally, I find it useful to clump related items together, and to put the most-clicked item near the button that opens or closes the inventory, to make it easier to use in certain rooms for example. For players like me, inventory management is a nice-to-have, but, you're right, not strictly necessary for good gameplay. It's not a crafting game, after all.

ha, nice. i never care about inventory management in games tbh, but i also always spend a lot longer than the average player finding stuff in my unorganized inventory :D

Yes, infinite storage pls 🙏 easy and fun. There might be some problems with inventory management at later or complains.

Funny thing is that the 2 characters in the center are the one I find least attractive (ok, maybe redhead even less) :P But the new Druuna is pure love <3
